Hanseng Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago The Passion of Christ and Anti-Christ is a series of woodcuts made by artist Lucas Cranach ~1521. Luther wrote comments at the bottom of each picture. If you would like to see them all, you can go here LutherPassionalChristiundAntichristi.pdf I ~once had a conversation with the Jesuit director of a RC university theology department. He dismissed a copy of the Great Controversy that I had given him as "typical 19th century anti Catholic propaganda." If that is the case, early Adventism was actively propagating against Rome in the official church paper, the Advent Review & Sabbath Herald. SDA opposition to Rome was not only about the Sabbath. Issues such as sprinkling rather than immersive baptism and withholding the cup from the laity were viewed with concern [to put it mildly]. The Reformation issues revealed in these woodcuts don't address the Sabbath. This is some "propaganda" from the 16th century different from that of the 19th century Great Controversy. Quote
