Dr. Shane Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 What do you think? You don't have to be a US citizen to vote here. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Bravus Posted January 22, 2007 Moderators Posted January 22, 2007 I'll be a little surprised if she gets the nomination, and much more surprised if she's elected. Several reasons: 1. I'm just not sure America is ready for a female president yet. Or possibly a black president either. I wish it was, but I just can't see it happening yet. 2. She has a history, and a huge group of people on the Right who think she is the antichrist. There are people on the left who also dislike her for supporting the war, people who think she should have left Bill, and so on... just hard to see her getting a majority vote when all those various people dislike her. 3. I think there are some other very good candidates... if only they get the nomination. I don't think Kerry was a particularly good candidate. Gore was a pretty decent one, and he may even run again. Edwards seems electable to me, and aware of social problems. Quote Truth is important
Woody Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Edwards is more leftist than Hillary. Gore is toast. Kerry is the absolute worst choice of them all. He has proven over and over he doesn't know his left foot from his right. He will flip flop one and then the other. The same for Hillary. Hussein is a good candidate but the Blacks don't like him because he is White and the Whites don't like him because he is Black. I really don't see any Demos that are any good. I do respect Leiberman but I don't think he is running. But that is it as far as the Demos. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators Bravus Posted January 23, 2007 Moderators Posted January 23, 2007 But see, I *like* the fact that Edwards is further to the left than Hillary. Quote Truth is important
Woody Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Yesterday Gov. Richardson joined the fray. I think he is the most experienced and qualified of the Demos. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I wonder if Hillary can raise enough money. It will be hard to have support of the mothers baking sales since Hillary has already ripped those ideas to shreads in previous years. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Dr. Shane Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 Hillary can raise the money. That is not an issue for her. In fact, she might suck up a lot of the Democrat dollars that other canidates with a better chance chould put to better use. The issue is, if there is enough money in the world to get her elected. True-believer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I reckon Hilary will make an awesome US President!!! Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Kountzer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Win the election and it's all hers. Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Kountzer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I also don't understand why people on this message board who are from other countries spend so much time commenting on things in the usa. It must be boring in Australia. Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
True-believer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I also don't understand why people on this message board who are from other countries spend so much time commenting on things in the usa. It must be boring in Australia. Why do Americans waste their time looking at Australian things on the internet, tv, newspapers, media??? We can say the same thing Kountzer??? Please don't be so hypocritical--Christians don't act like that!!! Australia isn't boring, but America//USA must be very boring, I would hate to go their, I could get blown up in the twin towers Kountzer..... Please don't be so judgmental against us Australians, because I would hate to be an American!!! Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Kountzer Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I don't know who the leader of Australia is, much less the political party he or she is affiliated with, or who his chief opponent is in that party. Nor do I know of any australian msg boards discussing these things. Quote I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass

Members phkrause Posted May 7, 2009 Members Posted May 7, 2009 Not sure I agree with you TB about americans being obsessed with australia or any other country for that matter. Maybe that is our problem as a people we think we are number one. I think the SDAs in this country do care what happens in other countries. As far as the news is concerned we do report what go's on throughout the world. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
