August 15 & 17  will be the date for the Pacific Uniioin Conference to electl officers, and conduct some other business.  I predict the following elections:

A major focus of the session will be the election of officers for the coming quinquennium. The nominating committee has recommended the following slate of nominees for the nine elected leadership positions of the Pacific Union Conference:

President: Marc Woodson   Elected

Executive Secretary: Sandra E. Roberts   Elected

Treasurer: Stephen Mayer  Elected

Executive Vice President: Alberto Ingleton   Elected

Vice President for Asian Pacific Ministries: Manuel (Manny) Vitug    Elected 

Vice President for Black Ministries: Leon B. Brown, Sr.   Elected

Vice President for Hispanic Ministries: Yohalmo Saravia    Elected

Vice President for Education: James P. Willis, II    Elected

 

Remember, lyou heard ilt first, before it had happened, in Club Adventist.

All have been elected--GM.

As some people may not be fully aware of how leaders are chosen in Adventism, I will further inform.  The above group of people was selected by a small group of people.  All have agreed tp serve if elected.  They will be voted on by the entire delegates;.    Yes.  The delegates can make changes.  I suggest that they have at least a 95 % chance of being elected.

I have telephoned the office of the Pacific Union Conference.  As the election is over and there are results, I have asked if they have been posted.  They have not.  I am informed that the results should be released  sometime during the next three (3) days. I am dumbfounded.  Gregory Matthews
