Why it matters: Supercars are fun and nice to look at. But when drivers rev their engines, clog up city streets and ignore their fines, it can create a real headache — both here in the U.S. and, recently, across the pond, The Wall Street Journal reports. 🇬🇧 Londoners are watching as many of these foreign supercars park outside Harrods, clog tight roads and pull over wherever they see fit, The Journal found. The exotic rides are hogging taxi-only lanes and racing through some of the city's biggest neighborhoods. ⚠️ And it's driving residents mad. Some snap photos of the cars in illegal spots, and the drivers bite back. "They more or less taunt us," London cabbie Mark Hart tells the WSJ. 🚦Earlier this month, London's Metropolitan Police said it had seized 90+ cars through the department's years-long crackdown against "antisocial driving behavior." One of the cars, a Ferrari Monza SP2, was valued at nearly $5 million. 🏎️ In the U.S., supercars are fueling quality-of-life battles over their roaring engines, high speeds and racing capabilities.
