Taylor Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I've been looking for a song I heard as a teenager. I think it was composed by an Adventist but I am not sure. The melody is a bit haunting. There were three verses, I think, but I only remember this much. If you can tell who the composer or artist was that sang this song I would really appreciate it. I am looking for the other two verses: In a land not far away A little girl sits crying she's only 3 All alone she sits in her bombed out home No one needs to tell her, war is on But to the armies around her She's just another refuge Another war statistic In a land where someone's fight for right Is another person's loss of life This little girl faces life alone And God, she's only three years old! Chorus: For the sake of the children, come quickly Lord For the sake of all the children, come soon. All around this cruel world Their little cries go out unheard For the sake of the children come soon. Quote
