Woody Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 On a news broadcast today it was reported that in a section of Texas there is a 71% decrease in illegals coming into the US. This was reported to be because they are treating illegals as criminals now and keeping them in jail up to 6 months. It used to be that when illegals were caught they would be returned to Mexico the next day. The word has spread and so not as many are coming across the border. The result has been a 300% increase in catching illegal drug traffic since the authorities are not so busy with illegals. The result is that more Americans will live thanks to the decrease in drug traffic. The more illegals ... the more that Americans will die from illegal drugs. Dr. Shane Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Yes, President Bush ended the "catch and release" program Many of these "jails" illegals are being detained in are tent jails. The Border Patrol pitches a bunch of tents inside a fenced in area. The illegal immigrants are then confined to that area for the time of their detainment. The less illegals trying to get across, the more Mexican lives are saved too. Many Mexicans die trying to sneak or be smuggled into the US. The best way is the safest way and the legal way. Mexicans wanting to immigrate to the US can apply for a visa at one of the many US embassies throughout Mexico. The US allows more Mexicans to enter legally each year than any other group from any other country. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
