What was cursed by God because of Adam?

The ground

Genesis 3:17

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

According to Zephaniah 3:17, how does God feel about HIs people?

He is with you and mighty to save you.

He takes great delight in you.

He will quiet with His love.

He will rejoice over you with singing.

I like that one....

My NIV says "David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife." NAS says Bathsheba.

So I guess we need a comparative Bible with a few different versions to see what each has to say. :) I knew who it was but my bible didn't say that. That why I mentioned "weird"

Sorry about the confusion! What the question was asking was, "Who is this wife of Uriah mentioned in the genealogy of Matthew 1?"

The answer is, of course, Bathsheba.

Sometimes we do notice weird differences in various versions. Pam has pointed many out and it's amazing that she's able to figure out the wording so quickly. Good detective work!

I didn't look up the verse you quoted, Pam, but I bet it's the one that says, "Thy words were found and I did eat them, and they were the joy and rejoicing of my heart"

I also thought of John the Revelator, who ate the little book and although it was sweet in his mouth, it turned bitter in his stomach.

But if you look a little further in Ezekiel, you will see that Ezekiel was actually commanded to eat a scroll- Ezekiel 2:9-3:3

I love Ezekiel! He had such an interesting experience!

What two minor prophets prophesied at the same time as Isaiah?

Amos, Hosea, Micah (according to my Bible)

Isaiah prophesied during reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah

Isaiah 1:1

Amos prophesied during reign of Uzziah

Amos 1:1

Micah prophesied during reign of Jotham and Hezekiah and Ahaz

Micah 1:1

Hosea prophesied during reign of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah

Hosea 1:1

If I had to pick two, I'd say Hosea and Micah... but Amos prophesied during Uzziah's time as well....so I'm not sure which two you want...
