WayneV Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Amelia, Was this question to me, or just a quick reply to anyone? Quote WayneV Just remember these words of warning, for they will come to pass all too soon: If you are ever flying through the desert and your canoe breaks down, remember that it takes three pancakes to lift the doghouse, because there ain't nary a bone in ice cream!
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted June 27, 2007 Members Posted June 27, 2007 I've been pondering this business of God's will. Aside from it being a question of semantics, I do not think God's will *is* being, or has *always* been, or always *will be*, done on earth. Just because God is omnipotent does not mean that He *uses* that power and knowledge in every situation on earth. Quote: The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV In the KJV the *not wanting* is translated as NOT WILLING that any should perish. Kinda stands to reason that if God's will was in effect on this earth right now, Jesus would've already come and we'd already be trotting down the streets of gold in the New Jerusalem instead of trying to follow the yellow brick road to (dare I say it?) Oz. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Thanks. I will jump in and say that God's will is USUALLY not accomplished. I personally believe that because of the Great Controversy ... GOD actually has His hands tied.
