Pope: Other Christians Not True Churches

Catholics believe they are the true church.

Mormons believe they are they true church.

Jehovah Witnesses believe they are the true church.

Muslims believe they are the true church.

Jews believe they are the true church (even God's chosen).

Adventists believe they are God's remnant church.

Important distinction with Adventists. They believe God has sheep in other folds - including in pagan religions.

That is a good point Shane. But do you know that they all believe that they are the only church by which others can be saved ... as Aldona was taught about the SDA church?

I haven't presonally studied all these religions to know. But for some reason I seem to doubt it.

Adventists do not believe anyone is saved by any church. The church is organized in order to carry the gospel to the world. The church saves no one. That is not the purpose of the church. Jesus saves - not the church.

I was referring to all the churches that you listed Shane. You implied that it was only SDAs that believed this way. That is what I was questioning. But then I don't have any knowledge on the subject.

One of the things that appealed to me as I studied for 2.5 years to disprove the Adventist Truth, was that they (adventists) did not claim to be the only church saved. Rather they gave a universal call for those yet apart to come out of babylon and be a part of something huge - something eternal.

It is our job to call forth the remnant, not to proclaim ourselves as the remnant. I like that.
