cardw Posted February 7, 2008 Author Posted February 7, 2008 Quote: Since God is not subject to His own laws exactly as people are, does that simple fact alone mean that God cannot possibly be "judged" in any way? So by what criteria are we to judge God? What would God have to do to be considered unjust? I don't think you can answer that one. And if there is no condition where God would be wrong, then there is no judgment of God at all. Quote: Many millions, however, have already decided that God is indeed worthy. Well, in my experience, the majority is often wrong. Plus we have millions of people who believe in Allah, Buddha, Krishna, and others. If we are going to count people, what influence does their vote have? Quote Rich http://tiny.cc/CM2j8
LifeHiscost Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Hope you find this helpful. Regard! but that is not a response to my post, LH. Its more like an accusation - yes? However, I'm not offended. tu Quote Lift Jesus up!!
D. Allan Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Quote: One major reason many find the Word accusatory is the result of failure to see that God (the Word) is Love and we feel acceptance of the Word is a punishment, or loss of some sort, for our lack. Our inability to find love in all of God's Word is a result of our lack of being like God, immature, including yours truly. but i did not feel accused by "the Word." Why should I? I've already found God's love. I know nothing can separate me nor you from it. So I have the freedom without fear to ask questions like i did concerning Mark 4. A failure to find love in parts of the Bible is due to a realistic reading of it. Not to immaturity. But again, I am able to say that because I am confident and safe in "God's love." Friend, we needn't suffer because of the sins of Moses. Quote dAb O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
