Dr. Shane Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 For the most part it is pretty good. But there are a few in there that are certainly poor advice. A husband needs his wife's loving criticism and they need to engage in discussions which are stimulating to both. A husband certainly shouldn't be allowed to be out all night unless he is away for work. When I attended my sister-in-law's wedding in Costa Rica they had to be married by a justice of the peace first because Adventist ministers are not legally able to perform a wedding. In the marriage vows the justice of the peace read the husband MUST sleep in the same house with the wife each night except in cases when illness or work would not allow for it. Dr. Shane Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Dr. Laura wrote a book a few years ago called, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" My wife really enjoyed it even though she sometimes felt like throwing it across the room. She got copies for her mother and sisters. Most husbands (not all) will respond very well to a wife that caters to them. Dr. Laura is of the opinion that the wife has the most power to make the home a happy place.
