Okay, my wife just commandeered my computer! Those are HER words. She just took it over. I can't believe it! HELP!!

That is why I have two computers in my computer room on my house. So my wife and I can each be on the internet at the same time. Also as a backup computer if one goes down. Actually if you count my step daughers computer we have four. She has mac and a PC.

I would like to hear Olger's input about this. As her husband ... shouldn't you make sure she is kept in line? Should I refer you to the woman in 1955 thread? The wife is to cater to all the needs of the husband. Even non-Christians realized and acknowledged this back in 1955. The problem is that things have slipped.

Take CONTROL man.

This is clear evidence that you need more meat in your diet.

I do SO much better as a vegan vegetarian, life is so much better and I feel so much healthier.

Dave

I am a lacto vegetarian. I drink soy milk instead of milk but I do eat cheese in my burritos and sandwiches. I try to use the lowfat or no fat cheeses like Mozerella cheese where possible.

Also I use egg white products in place of the full egg.

My wife does love the occasional tuna when she eats out. I never touch fish though.

Neil ... it might be to dangerous to be a fly on the wall. For your safety I would recommend take your flying outdoors.

Your house sounds like ours, l o l, my husband has a desktop and a laptop, I have a desktop and laptop, and my son has his own computer....multiple computers do help....you can get online anytime....plus one of my neighbors will pop up sometimes to use one, and when we have company visiting, they have free internet use. :)

It is interesting now that currently the poll shows that 50% are some kind of meat eaters.

I'm not going to say whether I'm a vegetarian or a meat eater. It really doesn't matter.

I have decided I will try to pay at least twice as much attention to what comes out of my mouth, as I previously have to what goes into my mouth. I keep remembering which one Jesus said really defiles a person.

Okay, now I AM in the doghouse. I have been reminded of something I forget. It is HER laptop, not mine which I was on. But she DID post under MY name on C/A. THAT is what she commandeered. I have been advised that I need to straighten this out because my dinner is on the line. The ultimate threat.

We do need to keep Jesus words in context. He was talking about ceremonial defilement of food.

Consider this. A man tells his wife he is 'going out with the guys ' and she tells him to have fun. Of course, she knows they are all in a bowling league and headed to the bowling ally. Well after bowling the guys decide to go to strip club and he says to himself, well my wife told me to have fun, certainly she wouldn't mind. The man would be taking his wife's words out of context, would he be?

Jesus wasn't teaching that drinking excessive amounts of alcohol wouldn't defile us. He wasn't teaching that we could consume poison without any harm coming do us. He wasn't teaching that we could eat blood, unclean meat or animals that were strangled. He was speaking in the context of ceremonial laws in respect to food.

Now I do not believe we should get overbearing in regard to diet. I think that is an extreme position that is too often found in the church. However I don't believe the opposite extreme is any better. We shouldn't poo poo dietary laws and act as if they are of no consequence.

I thought I could never do it as I LOVE fish, and I was FURIOUS to find that they discontinued Loma Linda Ocean Platter! gah Does anyone know of a similar product?????

My parents and my sister give me heck of a hard time for it. ahahaha. When I go out to eat with my sister she taunts me with a piece of chicken saying "Come on, I won't tell anyone! I know you want to". :)

HMm it has been a while since I was involved in that industry, but i think Cedar Lake foods made one similar..

If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses.

Most Oriental food markets have a frozen food Vegetarian section which includes "fishy smelling/tasting" products. I never cared for fish to start with so I avoid them. You might take a look if that type of food tempts your palate.
