Guest truthseeker007 Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Thanks for all of your support. In the morning i ve decided to go to church. It was very strange. I am very different than they. I really felt strange singing songs about Jesus who had saved me while at the same time i was thinking 'look how hypocritical i am, watching porn, thinkin about weed and prostitutes knowing i ll end up in hell anyway". At the same time i really want to do the good things. I am stuck. Whether Ellen White is a false prophet and i have to start a movement that keeps the commandments of God and hold on to the testimony of Jesus, or i ll have to read and study Ellen White her writings carefully in order to tell others about the fundamental beliefs of the SDA church. If the SDA church is truly God s church i feel so sad for her, because theologically she is not very strong when you think about the investigative judgement and other doctrines. If however it is Gods church i want to dedicate my life to it. I feel rejected, but that is more the result of my past life than the church. What should i do? i pray everyday but i don t see any changes yet. Please somebody help me. I wish i got an accident or something like that, i wish i was never born. Life is a judgement itself. A couple of days ago a jeep went straight to the walls of my neighbours house, i wished it was in my house, i think i could have been dead I have a question concerning baptism. Do you have to agree with the fundamental beliefs of the church before you can be baptised? I want a biblical baptism. Quote

If the beliefs are in the Bible ... what is holding you back from believing them? If they are not truth and not in the Bible .... then for certain ... you should not be required to believe them. The Bible holds the answers. But, I would not join a church before understanding fully what they believe and stand for. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 You don't have to believe that EGW was a prophet in order to be an SDA. All you have to believe is that she was a good author as "a" source of truth ... as are many authors and commentaries. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators Kevin H Posted May 31, 2008 Moderators Posted May 31, 2008 Mrs. White refused to let the church make belief in her inspired gift to be a test of fellowship. Quote
