Please don't confuse me with Sean Hannity. Rove may have some fetch dogs but no one that is as independently minded and moderate as Shane Quintanilla Linder.

If it walks like a republican, talks like a republican, smells like a republican, sheds water like a republican,.....

Sorry, Shane....You are NOT moderate...you are a republican....And you will vote republican no matter how much you profess you are 'moderate' and 'independant'....

So far the only candidate I have decided to vote for is the Democrat running for re-election to the House of Representatives. At this point I am more inclined to for for Obama than McCain although I think they are both exciting candidates and look forward to either one of them becoming President. If it was between Obama and Palin I think I would be leaning toward Palin. All the candidates are really good so regardless who wins it will be a bitter-sweet victory for me.

I think it is time for the nation to have a woman as President. The only thing I really didn't like about Hillary Clinton was the soap opera that her husband brings with him. If it wasn't for Bill, I would have supported Hillary. Both Hillary and Sarah are smart and strong women that are determined and provide leadership. They disagree on some social issues but both work for the advancement of women which is important.

...both work for the advancement of women which is important.

The huge difference is that this is true for Hillary but the focus for female advancement for Sarah was singular - advancement for one woman - herself.

If she had women's concerns at heart why did she require rape victims to pay for their own forensics kit? (Walsilla was the only city in Alaska to do so.) None of her social agenda fits with advancement of women.

I think that is an unfair partisan attack. Sarah did a lot to help female victims of domestic violence as the governor of Alaska. The rape-kit hoopla is just election-year rhetoric. It wasn't even her policy. It was that of her chief of police and one that today she says she doesn't agree with.

Apparently, the town is the meth capital of the state of Alaska.

Sarah Palin, if she is a good mayor, like all the republican PR machine has put out, is fully aware of the problems that meth can cause...including rape....Which was happening on a regular basis...Sarah was aware of the social problems that meth was causing...including rapes...Therefore, she knew about the policy...used it as a political step...

So Sarah is now responsible for the drug addicts in the town? Palin won re-election as mayor she won with a larger percentage of the vote than when she was first elected. When she ran for governor she received a large percentage of the vote than she had received either time as mayor. That clearly tells us that the more the people in her home town knew her the better they liked her. Obviously she couldn't solve all of her hometown problems but that is a very weak reason to attack her.

either that or she is in league with the meth people....

Oooh, wouldn't that put a damper on the McCain ticket.
