Dr. Shane Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Looking through the lenses of the far-left, Palin will never be acceptable because she is conservative. However she will never be trying to get the far-left to vote for her. She is a rising star in the Republican party. McCain's loss is likely to be a deadly blow to the moderate wing of the party. The conservative wing is likely to gain much control within the party and Palin is going to be one of the favorites. Polls already show that the base loves her and feels she is being unfairly attacked. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

However she will never be trying to get the far-left to vote for her. You can say what you will, Shane...doesn't negate the fact that she is politically geographically historically dumb. But one thing she has got in her favor, is ambition and good looks and how to trade little favors, as in having Tina Fay daughter baby sat by Sarah Palin's 17 year old. Oh, yes, and her faith.... Dr. Shane Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Quote: she is politically geographically historically dumb That is based entirely on hearsay and it is gossip to go around repeating it. She is going to be on Greta Van Susteren on Monday night. Those that actually care about hearing both sides of the story will tune in. Those that just want to spread juicy gossip may not want to be bothered with what the victim has to say. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Neil D Posted November 8, 2008 Author Posted November 8, 2008 Is she able to go thru a Katie Curric interview without looking like she knows nothing?- obviously not. Does she know that Africa is a continent and not a country? - No, she does not. Does she know the countrys involved with NAFTA?- No, she does not. [hint: NAFTA=North America Free Trade Agreement] Does she know when the phrase "Under God" in the pledge of Allegiance was added? - No, she does not as she thinks it has been there since the founding fathers. Shane, what I have accused her of, is perfectly reportable. You have NO excuse for making unfounded charges. If you don't like what you hear, move on.... fccool Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 It's not a question of what she "knows" or "does not know". She may know where the Africa is, and let's say that she does know the NAFTA countries. That's besides the point. I don't really think that a sports reporter is ideal background to run for a VP. I think it's obvious her political career was a popularity contest... similar to Schwarzenegger's. Both have the target audience they appeal to, and they do it really well. I certainly think there are more talented, able, and willing and fit men and women who would do the job much better. Unfortunately, it all has to come down to popularity contest... one of the reasons why an honest person like Ron Paul did not stand a chance. Quote

Neil D Posted November 8, 2008 Author Posted November 8, 2008 Those came from journalist who observed them... Sorry if you can't handle the truth of your favorite political candidate. Have the last word on this Shane....it is obvious that your republican values can not handle the truth of this woman... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Dr. Shane Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 No, they came from GOP campaign staffers. A journalist would not have sat on such a story until after the election. Quote: Sarah Palin’s spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton is denying the wave of anonymous post-election criticism coming from some members of John McCain’s campaign team. “This is so unfortunate and, quite honestly, sickening,” said Meghan Stapleton in a written statement. “The accusations we are hearing and reading are not true and since we deny all these anonymous allegations, there is nothing specific to which we will respond. “We have the highest regards for Senator John McCain. Governor Palin was honored to be chosen as McCain’s running mate. And as Governor of Alaska, Governor Palin looks forward to working with President-elect Obama on securing energy independence for America.” Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... That's true, but what makes them plausible is that they fit the pattern of her other answers. She has displayed her ignorance on all of the few occasions on which she has spoken publicly. If these specific charges are exxagerated they can be ignored, but if her other pronouncements had been models of informed intelligence they would be discarded instantly on hearing them. Members phkrause Posted November 9, 2008 Members Posted November 9, 2008 I'm not disagreeing but she was elected to a number of different offices. And has done a fairly good job. She probably was out of her element when picked to be VP. I don't believe that McCain would have picked a complete idiot. Again I'm not a republican and I would not have chosen her, with other candidates that were probably better. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Dr. Shane Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 She has displayed her ignorance on all of the few occasions on which she has spoken publicly. She had messed up some questions with Couric. I don't think she did too bad with Gibson. I saw townhall meetings she was in as well as interviews on FOXNews where she came off as very knowledgeable. However those interviews and townhalls were not highly publicized and ran on news shows over and over like her mess-ups. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Gosh, Shane...Can't you make the determination about a person by their responses to the reporter? Gibson's interviewed showed that she was suspicious of his reporting....and with good reason...She just didn't know what he was going to ask, and she didn't know the right answers to satisfy the public, cus she was searching and rephrasing the question. Charlie wouldn't be swayed and had to clarify each subject of his questions...She just didn't know.. Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. Not necessarily....Remember the cosmic forces that allowed Job to suffer consequences of natural desasters..... Definately a legit observation....but at the same time, somewhat answerable.... Woody Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 God is in control in the sense that he gives up control to Satan who is the real one in control of this earth. Things are obviously not going the way of the desires of God. This is not a foretaste of Heaven. God is simply allowing the way of Satan to be evidenced and seen before the heavenly courts.
