Woody Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I noticed that you have been using that icon a lot of late....Have you been getting enough sleep? Perhaps that the reason for your lack of sharing your visions for mankind under Republican rule....Or it could be that you have no vision..... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Oh. I'm sorry. Have I neglected to give you vision. I do have an excuse. I have pneumonia. And sleep is not something easy to get these days. I take it when I can. But I do wake up when I hear of all the Demo and Obama troubles even before he gets into office. That makes me alert. But alas ... it is that time again. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 the political poo slinging season is over... Were the Bush-haters told this too? Those that participated in Bush bashing cannot criticize others now Obama bashing without themselves being hypocrites. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators Bravus Posted December 11, 2008 Moderators Posted December 11, 2008 That's absolutely true. But it's also true that those who complained about Bush-hate can't now participate in Obama-bashing without being hypocrites. Quote Truth is important
Dr. Shane Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Right. That is why I am so slow to jump on any of these anti-Obama wagons. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Dr. Shane Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Well, that isn't the only reason. I want to be fair to Obama and I do want Obama to succeed. I think a lot of the problem with the Clinton haters and the Bush haters is that they actually wanted the President to fail and were not concerned about being fair to them at all. I want Obama to succeed. I want him to do so well that he is so popular that he wins re-elections with a landslide. But I am not going to bury my head in the sand if things start going bad either. Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 They are bad. How much worse could a President Elect have it than bribes being made to get his old job? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I haven't seen any evidence that Obama was involved with any bribes. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Did I say he was? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Did I say he was? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 I never said he was involved. I did not even imply it. I simply said that bribes are being made. Does this not dominate the news while he is being diminished to the bottom of the news page. He is not even near the news. It is all about the bribes. Not a good way for any president elect to start. The news SHOLD be all about Obama .. instead it is not. So what I am saying is just the opposite of what you accuse me of. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 So, let me mirror this back to you..... you are grousing that Obama is not all over the front page with his appointments and news conferences and his reassurances over the economy, and that OTHER NEWS, that comes from his own home state is pushing him off the front page....??? Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Now you understand the situation. Ca CA CA CA. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 The financial crisis is the front page news. Even with this scandal hitting the news cycle today, the story about the auto bailout was getting as much air time. As part of the financial crisis, President Bush and Congress are getting more press coverage than Obama is. I think Obama could change that if he sought the spot light but he is getting a fair amount of coverage and really doesn't need more at this point. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Woody Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Well I doubt that Obama wants to see all the headline news about corruption in regards to his Senate seat. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
