LOL Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Woody Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I'm too sheepish to be on any list. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Liz Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Do we tell you what we are, or do we tell you what we think some of the other members are? 'cause I have a few suggestions for some of the other members; which if I said what they are, might just put me on the naughty list. Moderators Bravus Posted December 12, 2008 Moderators Posted December 12, 2008 CoAspen doesn't say a lot, but is always worth listening to John317 says a lot, and is still always worth listening to, even (maybe especially) when we disagree. Plus he's a thoughtful and respectful discusser Shane has all sorts of great features, but in particular works hard at practicing what he preaches in terms of discussion style and respect Amelia brings the funny, and the sense of play, and is a fair and supportive admin Nan and Beryl are Aussies - what more needs to be said?! (though there's plenty to say about how cool they are) Trouble with starting a list, of course, is that there's not time to put everyone on it who deserves to be on it. Quote Truth is important
Liz Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Alright, I gotcha' then. Liz gives a big wink and nods. We will leave that naughty list for another time then. Here are my nominations: Cricket--sometimes she sees things different spiritually than what I do, which is never a bad thing, but it does make me study the Bible harder so that I have a better understanding, which is always a good thing. If I could pick and choose my family, she would definately be my sister. Don--I really got to know Don, in chat. He is such an all round good guy, and he was a missionary; all missionaries automatically get on the nice list. And he said he would tell me some great stories sometime. See Don, see how I put that in there, you don't want to go over to the naughty list now, by not giving me my stories...right??? Shane--I have never met anyone who tries to be more informed politically than Shane. And he is always happy to help others, like me, understand issues better. Redwood--He is always ready to listen to problems, and offer kindly advice or just pray for people. He is my uncle if I need advice or my brother if I just want to play, he is truely a special and unique person. Denise--her posts are encouraging, and she is just so sweet and she has a great sense of humor. Doug--I just like giving him a hard time, and he should be on the nice list, simply because he puts up with me. Which brings me to Neil. Neil--Really belongs on the naughty listHe is one of those individuals that likes to fight and argue really makes people think. One needs a big bat quick wit to go up against Neil in a debate. Honestly, though, one could never have a better friend. He is my elder brother in every sense of the word. You know I could go on and on, there are so many people here that belongs on the nice list, but since 7 is a perfect number I guess I will stop there. cricket Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Aw, Liz. That was a nice thing to say. Thanks! I'd consider it privilege to be included as family! There are many members here whom I've have the privilege to get to know over the years. I appreciate the gift of friendship with each and everyone. Quote

Beryl Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Quote: I can hardly disagree, I lived in Auckland for 13 of the best years of my life. Yes, Nan, I have to agree that NZ is a great place. How about 22 years in Aussie (South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales), 27 years in NZ (Auckland and Wellington), 30 years in Western Australia (Perth). Final vote -- a real toss-up between New Zealand and Western Australia!! I now have 3 Kiwi kids, plus 3 Aussie "in-laws", and 11 "dinkum Aussie" grandkids! All in Perth WA. Life has been grand!! Just spent Christmas with the latter list. And on that list of Forum people that I watch I would put Neill, Shane, John316, Nan, Aldona, Amelia, Darlene, Denise, Gerry, Norman, Taylor, Lyndel -- and I am sure there are more than that! Oh, and Stan the Man! I am sure there are more! You are all a great mob! Beryl Quote "Grace is God doing for us, in us and through us that which He requires of us but which is impossible for us to do in or for ourselves." But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9.
Moderators Nan Posted December 27, 2008 Moderators Posted December 27, 2008 Where are you from originally, Beryl? I have to add 5 years in Karachi, Pakistan, to my list...my origins are Warburton. In many ways NZ is my favourite place though Sydney is home now. Yet to make WA, thinking seriously of getting there early next year... and I am not going to make a list, there are so many really special people here. I will mention Stan and Gail, the only ones I have met....a shame BC is so far from Sydney, it would be great to be able to see them more than once a lifetime :) Quote
