To the unknown poster [this is not for the weak of heart]

To those who names escape us, who refuse to be identified, and those who are from a secret agency hidding from the bots...

Welcome!

You shall be known collectively as Anonymii. You are people who wish to not be known, to remain anonymous, to be hidden among the rushing on the internet freeway, who seek a quiet place.

We,the 40 or so users, who frequent here, need to place a handle on the 500 people lurking here [that is a true number, as I have counted it out], bid each one of you a hearty welcome.

And to you bots, from yahoo, microsoft, Yabot and all the electrial roboting search engines, we ask that you take back to your masters the ONE TRUTH that needs to go back to your masters....

You guys are gonna burn in hell if you don't quit yer pepsi/coke drinking, junkfood eating ways. You guys need to attend church, and fall on the rock and be broken. You then need to fellowship with the brothern, and have deep communion with them. You need to find yourselves, and eat spiritual food with relish. You need to give up your smoking, give up meat eating and turn your heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Truely, you need to be broken upon the great cornor stone and be......converted!

Now that you have made it thus far, remember to do 2 things...

1] pay your membership fees

2] Stop in at the discount veggie store and get $25 off thru the use of an internet code... See Stan for details...

Yikes!

Though I am among the 40 or so users who frequent Adventistforums, I do not in any way endorse the original post of this thread.

Whoa Neil...people who don't know you will not get that you are joking.

There are about 40 users who login almost everyday, but just over 300 who log in at least once a week... several members do not log in and can not see all of the forums...

If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses.

Neil ... I am not so sure this is helping or hurting. Granted ... we don't want any Coke drinkers here. But, we can allow them SOME time to become perfected.

lol I think if you do they will throw confeti at you not a frying pan so you are probably ok. Good thing we know Neil for what he is like or we'd be looking for flying frying pans.

I think it was very funny Neil. But then ... I love humor. I hope that all who read it will laugh also.

Yep, I was laughing as I read this, drinking my diet coke, eating my junk food. Wondering why it was getting warmer than usual in here.

"In this fast age, the less exciting the food, the better. Condiments are injurious in their nature. Mustard, pepper, spices, pickles, and other things of a like character, irritate the stomach and make the blood feverish and impure. The inflamed condition of the drunkard’s stomach is often pictured as illustrating the effect of alcoholic liquors. A similarly inflamed condition is produced by the use of irritating condiments. Soon ordinary food does not satisfy the appetite. The system feels a want, a craving, for something more stimulating." Counsels on Diets and Foods, page 339

Dr. Pepper is not recommended. Pepper is on the forbidden list.

But---

That is BLACK pepper she is talking about. Dr. Pepper is brown.

How do you know what color she was referrin to?

She just said pepper ....

I wouldn't chance it or your blood will become "feverish and impure". You wouldn't want that to happen.

Personally .... I am holy. I don't touch any soft drinks that have cafeine.

Well, we know that because red and green peppers are good for you! And when you mix red and green, you get brown- so that's gotta be good for you, too!

Well... maybe that is a stretch.

I think this thread started out as a reminder to those who lurk but don't pay their dues. (Am I on the right track?)

Please, everybody. Do your duty by Stan. Pay your small share of the huge expense here. Send in your dues while it's still 2008.

Happy Christmas, and a Merry New Year!

Thanks Jeannie. I am not sure that condemning those who eat junk food will inspire many of those lurkers to pay up ... but perhaps your kind appeal will.

Whoa Neil...people who don't know you will not get that you are joking.

Oooops, my bad...forgot the [/TIC] at the bottom of the post.....

Actually, I posted to the anonymii a couple of years ago and encouraged them to join Club Adventist...I entreated them with how nice it was to join and the different forums that they were missing out on....

It was good then....It's still good now....

Just think, if you [and I am talking to those anonymii who are lurking] were to join, you too could tell people where they could expect to be in the after live for their 'not so good' behavior. [special bonus features!]

And you could be inform and decide what type of behavior would be best for other people. And if you are not sure, you could ask other newly joined or even the older members as to what their opinons on the specific behavior. But you have to join.....

As to the rest of the members, don't you find labeling behavior as a good activity...that way reminding the rest of us of which standards are not to be violated and you can stay righteous and well within the boundarys of the Law....

That was why the Pharisees counted thier steps, so as not to violate the sabbath by walking too far and it being considered work.

Imagine:

You can tell people that adultery is wrong, That your ethics are biblically centered,

....that Unions are another way of violating God's will and what God wanted His last day remnant to avoid,

....that if you participate in the world, you are of the world,

Just think, you too can educate the younger members among us to carry on those traditions that we were hampered with, like

....being republican is God's ordain political party [just like the mormons!],

...that there is no such thing as Global warming, as God has already flooded the earth and has promised never to do that again,

...that the ecological movement is pagan, worldly, anti-Republican, anti-God, and is just a plain bad idea.

Why, you can even tell someone that shaving thier beard is against Nazarite traditon.

Yes, being a member of ClubAdventist has it's advantages and it's perks...Come join today...limited time offer, if you bring a friend, price is 1/2 of double price membership. Subject to taxes, financial disadvantages, tithe paying, and other stewardship options.

I've seen this one poster come and go from time to time....His name is Anonymous, but he seems to post differently, as in his style of writting is different.....sometimes he can sound femine...sometimes male....sometimes....strange...

And then there is all those listed as Anonymous who refuse to post, but who can be called "lurkers"...."Lukers" sounds like someone stalking someone else...not a good name for those type of people. That's why I resort to the name "Anonymii" because there are more than one[ oh yeah, there's a LOT more than just one].

...and yeah, they never seem to post anything.....

Why dont we ask them why they do not contrbute? Possibly if some of the heavies on here would lay low for a while instead of monopolising the conversation it would help. ....mel

Tried that - it just goes quiet.

It's fairly well known that most long-lived online communities tend to have about a 90%/10% ratio of lurkers to posters. No-one really knows why, but I've tried to convince Uncle Neil before that it's a form of chauvinism to assume that posting is the normal mode of life and lurking is deviant. On the contrary, it's the posters who are not 'normal', at least in numerical terms (judging their normality in all other terms is left as an exercise for the reader). bwink
