Sulla Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 Joe Quote: This thread was started because someone was advocating restriction of speech. No I never said anything about a restiction on you or any one else. But I did bring up that maybe it was not the best way to reach people when you put the truth with what I believe is wild speculation most of it unfounded. So every one is free to do as they will. I am talking about if its the best course of action or not. Quote
Joe_in_RP Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Is it the best course of action? For only a minority of the people we are trying to reach. The first method we should use is Love. Not Daniel and Rev meetings. Love. That's what Jesus did. But later as we work with people, some are confused. The have already connected the dots and are looking for truth. In a world full of lies they want truth. Not just about God but about the whole world and how this fits in with Jesus 2nd coming. The Holy Spirit leads us into ALL truth. Not just Bible truth. That's why Dr Veiths videos are so powerful to some. Look we have known the end for some time. It's all laid out in the little red books. But many details are missing. Those books focus on the religious aspects only. Do we need more info? No. We don't even need the red books. The bible has all we need. Do we want more? Some do. They want to see how the religion with tie in with the politics. So now God has shown many and they are revealing Satans plans. Its easy to see the Hand of God working. One government agent gave a reporter a complete instruction book. After a week someone figured it was a bad idea and demanded it back. Then they threatened the reporter. Are there false prophets in this area? Of course. Many, in fact it may be the majority. We have to test everything we see today. Does it change anything if we know all the details? Well honestly some get caught up in the details and miss the larger picture. But there are many who are fast asleep. It can and is waking some up. Its a sad commentary. I personally don't understand how someone can drift away from God. Everyday I see a greater need for the Spirit and a Savior. But for some who have drifted this is a wake up call. From Last Day Events The time of trouble--trouble such as was not since there was a nation [Daniel 12:1]--is right upon us, and we are like the sleeping virgins. We are to awake and ask the Lord Jesus to place underneath us His everlasting arms, and carry us through the time of trial before us.--3MR 305 Probation Will End Suddenly, Unexpectedly When Jesus ceases to plead for man, the cases of all are forever decided. . . . Probation closes; Christ's intercessions cease in heaven. This time finally comes suddenly upon all, and those who have neglected to purify their souls by obeying the truth are found sleeping.--2T 191 (1868). Quote
fccool Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Joe, check out this thread... as it's kind of addressing similar issues. http://www.clubadventist.com/forum/ubbth...html#Post210211 For the most part we speak different language than those who we are speaking to, and we expect them to understand us. If God would be dealing the same way with us... we would probably end up with bunch of hieroglyphs for a Bible to decode. God speaks through language and cultural understanding of the people. He draws parallels... shows the message visually through action and history. Yet we resort to ambiguous notions that some simply accept as spiritual facts that are impossible to comprehend, and other simply don't understand and leave confused. We certainly need to work on our mode of delivery. Quote
