The most ridiculous doctrine to slip into Christianity

For me , the most ridiculous doctrine to be propagandized in the church, is that we are not saved, now and forever!!

That may be the most ridiculous but the most perniciously devastating is the doctrine of the lost receiving eternal life in an eternally burning hellfire. And that would make it vie for the most ridiculous since it would put God, Who is Love, in the position of being the supreme master of eternal torture for eternity.

The lost being relegated to an eternity of unconscious oblivion would reveal the most merciful thing a loving God could do for His avowed enemies, not to mention the many minds of the saved whose minds can be now set at rest as to whether they are once saved/forever saved.

The Key is Repentance. How do we obtain the mercy of Christ? Repentance.

It's free for the asking. And some find it difficult to humble themselves by asking.

" Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins."Acts 5:31 NKJV

No, because once you're "saved" and then you turn your back on that salvation you cannot be "re-saved". Read Hebrews 6:4

For it is impossible to restore to repentance those who were once enlightened – those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come – 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people to repentance again because they are nailing the Son of God to the cross again by rejecting him, holding him up to public shame.

Revelation 21:1-6---focus on verse 4 and 5...

And God shall wipe away all TEARS from their eyes; and there shall be NO MORE DEATH, NEITHER SORROW, NOR CRYING, NEITHER shall there be any more PAIN:

For the former things are passed away.

And He that sat upon the throne said, (Jesus), "Behold, I make ALL THINGS NEW."

And He said unto me, "Write: for these words ARE FAITHFUL AND TRUE."

ALL THINGS ARE TO BE MADE NEW, with NO more Death which equals sin and condemnation.

Remember in the Garden of Eden, No death, No sin, No condemnation, No strive, No crying, No Hell, No Hellfire, only a serpent which in the end dies and is put through to the second death--the devil and the false prophet and all the unbelievers through the Lake of Fire, and they all burn FOREVER until there is nothing more left of them.
