True-believer Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 That's entirely possible. But how are you going to prove that? I don't get colds. No arthritic or chronic conditions. I've always been told, "Don't speak to soon..." Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
True-believer Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I won't say you are wrong. But I have a hard time trusting conventional medicine. Well, Lutz13, Don't put your trust in conventional medicine... Put your trust in God and God alone... Do you believe in miracles??? Or... Do you believe in healngs??? Put your faith and trust in God alone and you will see incredible things just happen... I know for a fact that if you really want a miracle to happen because you may have cancer or other life-theatening causes, God will heal you by His mighty Holy Spirt POWER, I know, because I myself am a living miracle. Quote Luke 4:19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

GreatLakesGramma Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I'm finding it's taking a lot more time to write out my recommendations, because I keep thinking of more references I need to include. So I'm going to post them in installments. I don't know how many, or how long it will take, but I'll let you know when I'm done. Once I get the whole list, if anyone really wants to try all of them, my suggestion is that you don't try to change everything at once. Just change one thing, then when you're used to that, add another one. It has taken me decades to learn all I have, and I am still learning. Here are my suggestions (first installment). To detox (and stay "clean"): 1. Eat organic. Not everything you eat has to be organic, but some commercially grown foods are much worse than others. You've probably seen lists of the most and least contaminated produce. The source for that information is tests conducted by the Environmental Working Group. They tested 47 kinds of conventionally grown produce. Here is the full list of produce contamination Be sure to also follow the links on the same page for "methodology" and "how to reduce exposure" Here's another listing, this one from the FDA, including meats and processed foods: FDA Total Diet Study This includes links at the bottom of the page for Pesticides, Metals, Chemical Contaminants, and Natural Toxins With regards to meat, if I were eating meat, I'd buy only organic. The issues of how animals are raised and slaughtered have already been mentioned here. Most meat you'd buy in the store is really unfit for consumption, downright unsafe, in my opinion. But even organic meats are not the healthiest thing to eat. Although meat is composed of muscle tissue, that is not all you get when you eat it. The blood in the meat contains metabolic waste products, which are toxic. And the main storage places for toxins that the body can't get rid of are the liver and the FAT. I believe that this is why so many people have have such a struggle with weight problems. Their body won't allow them to lose it, because all the toxins would be put back into circulation. In raw foods groups I belong to, they call it "releasing" weight, not losing it, because when they get rid of the toxins, the weight starts coming off without any difficult efforts at all. When God told the Israelites not to eat blood or fat, He was actually instructing them to avoid the most harmful parts of the animal. If you want to eat meat, then after you buy your organic meat, be sure to cut off all the fat, and get the blood out. Soak it and rinse it until you can put in into water and the water stays clear. You will probably want to experiment with herbal and other seasonings for your meat after that, because it won't have any flavor left. It's actually the toxins in the meat that give it most of its flavor. 2. Drink water purified either by distillation or reverse osmosis. Whether your water is from a municipal supply or your own well, there are almost sure to be some kind of toxins in it. You've probably read articles telling you about the standards city water has to meet, and that you shouldn't waste your money. There are many, many water-soluble substances in this world, and they can not test city water for every single one of them. Nor do they have to completely eliminate everything harmful that they do test for. They only have to keep them below an "acceptable" level. But if you drink a lot of water, you may get more than is safe. Even if you don't, what is considered safe may not be so safe for you. You could be sensitive, or it could be just too much in addition to toxins you get from other sources. We have our own well, which we had drilled first thing when we moved to our house. The required tests done on every new well came back OK. But my health started to deteriorate as soon as we moved here. After drinking only purified water for 18 months, while under treatment by a nutritionist for serious health issues that I had developed after moving here, I started filtering our tap water and drinking it, to save money. Within a couple of weeks I was sick again. Our daughter used to live in a nearby town. One of our two sons, who still lives with us, would sometimes go to her house and stay for a week at a time. He told me that her water stank and tasted bad, and the first time he stayed there, it made him sick when he drank it. He was even sick for several days afterward. He always took his own water after that. Both of these situations were with water that was considered safe to drink. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
