BobRyan Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Which is why I posted this -- Christianity Today report on a survey of almost 1000 Muslims that came to Christ Quote: http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/article_print.html?id=50866 “As with Paul and Cornelius in Acts, visions and dreams played a role in the conversion of many. More than one in four respondents, 27 percent, noted dreams and visions before their decision for Christ, 40 percent at the time of conversion, and 45 percent afterward.” ... NOTE: “Between 1991 and 2007, about 750 Muslims who have decided to follow Christ filled out an extensive questionnaire on that basic question. The respondents—from 30 countries and 50 ethnic groups—represent every major region of the Muslim world. (Copies of the questionnaire are available from dudley@fuller.edu.) The participants ranked the relative importance of different influences and whether they occurred before, at the time of, or after their decision to follow Christ. While the survey, prepared at Fuller Theological Seminary's School of Intercultural Studies, does not claim scientific precision, it provides a glimpse into some of the key means the Spirit of God is using to open Muslim hearts to the gospel.” Another site reports 15,000 Muslims in France convert to Christianity each year – Quote: “Terrific news from France, ...Around 15,000 Muslims each year are converting to Christianity “ http://www.iris.org.il/blog/archives/223...-in-France.html Al Jazeera – “6 Million African Muslims convert to Christianity each year” (May 6, 2006 report) http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles6/AlJazeerahAfrica.php ============================ Dave Wilkerson - author of "The Cross and the Switchblade" (nondenominational) Quote: SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2009 AN URGENT MESSAGE I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world. AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US. For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago. There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3). God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations. ... http://davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com/ Candace – conversion to Christianity - 2007 Quote: http://www.4hispeople.com/candace.htm FROM CANDACE – November 2007 [Note: This is an edited version of an amazing testimony from a former prostitute who is now a follower of Jesus Christ.] Greetings to Everyone: On June 20 I was working in the evening. I was a prostitute. I had been working the streets since I was 16. The reason I started at that age is not as important as where I am now. I was a heavy drug user. Mostly crack. I drank a lot. I still am battling with cigarettes. This is the really hard part that I have shared with many of my friends who are no longer my friends but some have accepted what I have shared with them to be truth. I do not share this for you to look at me but to look at Jesus, as He is the one who forgave me in the life I was walking and now walk in a new way. I was on my corner when a man in a convertible said he would like to speak with me. I said, “Sure.” I climbed in and we began driving. He looked over at me and called me Candace. I was shocked and thought the worst. He then said, “Do not be afraid.” He began to explain to me that he had been sent to give me a message and that message was from Jesus Christ. He told me that Jesus is coming and that He wants me to get ready to go to heaven. I was very scared and told the man that I did not want to die. The man said, “Do not be afraid because no harm will come to you.” The man pulled into a shopping center parking lot and stopped. He told me that there is a man that is receiving messages from Jesus and that this very night Jesus would show him the importance of the cross that He died on. This man told me the man’s name is Ernie Knoll, that he has been receiving dreams from Jesus and that the dreams can be read on a web site www.4hispeople.com/dreams.html . He told me the web site and I wrote it down. Then the man told me to find a TV show called “It Is Written” with Shawn Boonstra and another TV show called “Amazing Facts” with Doug Batchelor and that these men will teach me what I need to know. I wrote down these TV shows and their names. Then the man said that these three men have been selected by Jesus to do an important work together for Him, that I was to change the way I live and that Jesus is coming to take me to heaven. The man said to keep watching for Jesus, that there is much to learn and this is a good place to start. The man then got out of the car and walked around to my door and opened it so I could get out. He pointed toward the buildings and said that there was a meeting going on in there and they would help me with my questions. He said he was to leave but for me to walk in the new way in which I was shown. As I looked at the man, he had the way that he looked change right before me and I fell to my knees and began crying. I watched as I saw this man change into a bright being of light. I watched as he had wings that somehow came out from behind him and he flew up and away. After a few minutes I got up and noticed there was no car there. I started walking to the place in the shopping center where there was a religious meeting going on. I went in, sat down and tried to listen but I was numb and shaking from what had just happened. After the meeting ended I spoke to several of the people there and they made me feel welcome. They gave me a Bible and a book called The Great Controversy. … Ernie Knolls – SDA elder. Dec 14, 2007 http://www.4hispeople.com Quote: Warning about world wide destruction of citieshttp://www.4hispeople.com/StandFast.htm The Herald stands up and says to hold fast to my courage, as he will now show me things which must happen. He again says he has much to show me. We begin walking through the corridor wall. On the other side I find we are at a very high altitude in the sky, as if we are a bird flying, watching our country. I see destruction unfold on the face of the earth. {3} Great round burning objects hit certain cities which destroy all who live there. These round objects cause the earth to shake. Other cities hundreds and hundreds of miles away from where those cities were destroyed begin to shake and the buildings fall, crashing to the ground. I see explosions of immense heat and fire emerging from the ground. What looks like liquid fire runs through many areas. This liquid consumes everything in its path. I see fire shoot up in the sky as if it were a fountain of water, except it is burning. {4} All across the country I see certain cities with unfathomable destruction. Even though I cannot see other parts of the world, I know the things I see in front of me are happening there as well. In order to see better, we descend closer to a certain city. I watch as vehicles on highways and interstates crash. The roads that the cars and trucks are traveling on open up into crevasses. It is as if the road is pulled apart. In other areas I see the roads begin to crunch together and the pavement stack up on top of each other, becoming pavement on top of pavement. We turn and I see large airports. The runways disappear into the earth. The airplanes have no place to land. I am now taken to other areas that are not as densely populated, and the people there are unharmed. There are many towns and cities that are not destroyed. I ask the Herald if I may tell which cities. He answers, "No, that is not permitted." He explains that each must learn the guidance of the Holy Spirit concerning where God would have them live. He then says, "Come, I have more to show you." The Herald and I return to the corridor and pause for a little while. He explains, "His people are to understand that the next thing I show you must happen. God is in control." We pass through the wall and I am now watching many funerals all at the same time. I know that many elderly people have been laid to rest. I am also shown that many infants and small children are laid to rest. The Herald explains that this is in God’s love, that it should be understood they are laid to rest so they will not have to endure the time that is upon us. {5} I watch as mothers say goodbye to their newborn or young children (Events are moving rapidly - Something amazing is coming) In Section I of Ernie’s book – a short message on page 18-19 “ A call to Repentance” In Section II of Ernie’s book – page 64-67 “Choose you this day” and a view of heaven. Twilight Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 It is the comprehension of salvation through the merits of Christ, that is the real indicator. As that is accepted and taught. As the justification AND sanctification of Gods people goes forward through a fresh understanding of the merits of Christ's blood, then we will see things wind up rapidly. We had a chance in 1888, but we failed it. It is coming again. This should be our deepest study right now. When you see this light switch on in the peoples minds, lift up your heads. Hey Gail, Something that really sticks out for me is. "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but deny its power, and from such people turn away"(2 Timothy 3:1-5) I made some big, but now that I think about it. All of the above describes the people of today. "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition."(2 Thessalonians 2:3) With evolution trampling upon Gods holy word, there is a great falling away happening right now. "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons"(1 Timothy 4:1) We are seeing this today everywhere. Tammy Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Bob, I truly believe that Ernie Knoll is a false prophet. Please check out the thread on The The Narrow Way Ministries Forum - where WORDKEEPER makes the statement, Quote: Newbie, two years ago I was feeling very strongly that we needed a living prophet for these last days. Because of the various doctrinal controversies, and Laodicean condition, it seemed to me that a prophet could clear this up. I was actually praying that the Lord would send our church a prophet. That's when Ernie showed up. I'm sure I was more open to him because I had been praying for a prophet. I learned a lesson. I don't pray that prayer any more. I still would be thrilled if God did send a living prophet, but I'm not seeking it. God knows best. It's His wisdom we need to rest in, not our own ideas of how things should be! My point is, let's be careful how earnestly we desire a prophet! This lady was closely involved with Ernie Knoll for a long time. You should contact her and ask her what her experience was. I am always happy to find somone that has done some digging in on this subject and will be glad to see what Wordkeeper has found. Thanks. However I gotta way those last few sentences from that Wordkeeper quote have a lot of "red flags" given Paul's instruction in 1Cor 14:1 "Desire earnestly spiritual gifts - especially that you may prophesy" I alway have the bible as my guide - and as I reminded Redwood - that means when I read it - I have to do what it says. Hopefully Wordkeeper has the same view of the Bible. I will be following through the thread at the link you posted and see if there is a bible point made there that I can rely on for adding to the weight of the inspired sources I have collected so far to help give balance to the subject. I find strong admonition from Ellen White and Bible writers to accept future prophets as well as strong instruction to test them and to avoid the false prophets. It is not just one or the other -- but both. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.

They come from both areas. In 1T 569 where Ellen White talks about the fact that dreams can be nonsense, or inspired by God or given by Satan - she also talks about inspired dreams being just as much a fruit of the Spirit of Prophecy as visions and then later quotes three inspired dreams by two other men living at her time -- they gave them in writing to her for her benefit and to be published. (See 1T 598-604) She not only published those inspired dreams but did so with the statment "Let a prophet who has a dream tell a dream". It is interesting how much of this research you won't see coming from some sources that only deny the inspired dreams and visions idea today. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Dr. Rich Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Matthew 24:45 states that there will be ONE person (only) that will be feeding (teaching) food (new truth) to those who are hungry for it when Jesus comes like a thief (not the same event as the coming in the clouds). Is not this a true prophecy? Could this 'one person' be the one giving weekly Sabbath School bible studies from the Calimesa California SDA church at: www.blogtalkradio.com/spiritoftruth ?? If it is, then wouldn't it be important to test this person to prove it one way or the other? BobRyan Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Speaking of which - how do you "test a reviewer" to "see if" you are getting a Biblically accurate balanced review? For example if a dozen people review Ernie Knoll and come up with different results - how do you "evaluate the reviewers"?? Here are 10 simple tests. Testing the Reviewers for Balance: When someone reviews the 4HisPeople.com material we need to know if the review is substantive and balanced. We should ask ourselves “Is this an insightful spirit-filled balanced review of valid facts testing the gift of prophecy so as to insure an accurate and balanced conclusion?” To help clarify that point – I have identified 10 basic tests. 1. Does the reviewer present a skewed unbalanced and filtered view of last-day prophets? (For example – only presenting examples of false prophets from the writings of Ellen White rather than showing how Ellen White accepted some and rejected others (Just as we are to do 1Thess 5:19-20, 1T 569, 1T 597-604) 2. Do they dwell on frivolous tests –( minor tests that they themselves “dismiss” as not significant enough to actually test the subject one way or the other? I.e. do they use “it seems to me…” and “I feel that…” and “harrumph!..” kinds of arguments instead of relying on substantive Bible tests.) (1 Tim 1: 6-7) 3. Do they feel the need to deny or belittle valid Bible instruction on the test of a prophet or the gift of prophecy and the test of the spirits to make their case. (1Cor 14:1 1John 4:1-3, Acts 17:11, Acts 4:19) 4. Do they engage in “assailing character and motives” rather than sticking with the Bible tests of a prophet? (GC 1911 version p 458) 5. Do they “invent new tests” that would make friendly fire casualties of Ellen White and/or Bible prophets? 6. Do they deny or omit balancing truth from the inspired text. (For example omitting the Bible truth that future prophets will come. ) Do they omit or deny the Ellen White statements predicting future genuine prophets to come and also predicting the failure even among SDA leadership to accept them? (2SM 57, Is 8:20) 7. Do they deny the gravity of the ministry of Ernie Knoll. Do they argue that it is just “one guy making up little things” or do they admit that it is obviously of some kind of supernatural origin and as such is the biggest thing to come along in almost 100 years (even if you reject his ministry). (4T 229.2) 8. Do they deny the level of study and careful attention to detail that it takes to evaluate something like this. Do they direct the reader not to study, do they indicate that they themselves have not spent the one afternoon’s time necessary to read ALL of Ernie’s messages. (2 Tim 2:15, 1John 4:1) 9. Do they contradict their own instruction? Do they present self-conflicted arguments? (Matt 26:59-60) 10. Do they engage in wrenching the text being evaluated out of context (misleading snippet quoting) either from Ernie Knoll’s material or Ellen White or the Bible? (2Peter 3:16, Luke 6:7-11) If the reviewer fails these tests – you are getting a skewed/slanted/biased review instead of a balanced review of the subject. If they fail only one or two – then you are at the very least - getting a hasty review that has not taken the time needed ensure an accurate conclusion. 11. Do they object to being tested themselves when they find out about this list? 12. If they are consistently failing one or more of these tests on each point they raise - Do they have a conflict-of-interest? ( Something in these messages steps on “their toes” or they have a boss telling them to reject this ministry “or else”.) Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.
