Are you sure this isn't more of the Semmelweis Reflex?

I love that Semmelweis Reflex! It answers many of the questions I have in life.

I heard Ronnie Reagan was buried there so why not MJ?

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

My bad, will MJ's memories be allowed?

I was saddened by his passing. He was extremely talented, although weird. But all things considered, how many of us would be weird if we had 10 hit songs before we were 20. Not to mention the insanity that broke out over "Thriller". I think it's still the best selling album of all time. I wish I could have met him in private for about an hour or so... but it wasn't meant to be.

I feel sad for Farrah's friends and family as well.

Two more preventable deaths by the AMA. It's strange that marijuana, a mild drug, is illegal, but Demarol, which killed Michael, is legal and prescribed. Farrah had to endure all that pain and suffering because the doctors convinced her that chemo will cure her. Did you know that chemo has mustard gas in it? That's the stuff the Germans used in WW ll.

I'm angry at the AMA, and the SDA's who never stood up to it when it was growing in power.

I want to throw up every time the leader calls out prayer requests and someone says that a loved one is going through chemo, and asks God's blessing. I don't understand how one can ask God to heal with the Devil's poison.

Thanks for letting me rant.

Could the "visions" be far behind?

Preventable deaths by the AMA? Copper and iron and other minerals are absolutely essential to life, but they can also kill you. High on marijuana but down on Demerol?

Talk about uninformed ranting! Wow! Now that is really poisonous. Sad, very sad.

Do you honestly think that chemo cures anything? 83% of oncologists would not give it to their friends or loved ones. Yeah, I'm sad all right.

Rant away, brother. My wife is alive today only because the grace of God has kept her from succumbing to modern medical practices.

I just do not blame the doctors as they are following avenues of information which demands greatly of their own personal sacrifice. It just happens to be misplaced confidence in the most available and prevalent treatments.

There is a reason why the Unites States, though being the most technologically advanced, still has the highest mortality rate of all the western industrialized nations. If that is not an accurate statement, I would be most pleased to retract and apologize.

One only has to read the health instructions from the Spirit of Prophecy and proceed to follow them to find the Truth of the matter, at least on a personal level.

Generally speaking I ask God for guidance (often research on the net) before I follow instructions that cut, poison, or burn me. As a result I've seen miracles in my own body that prevented a trip to the hospital, despite evidence to the contrary regarding conventional wisdom.

" My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. " Proverbs 4:20-23 KJV

Blessings! peace

Brother, you really should get your facts right before you post. Mustard gas was used in the FIRST World War by BOTH sides, not just the Germans. As for its use in WWII, see below, and I realise that it is from Wikidedia , but it does have references to reliable sources.

"In the Geneva Gas Protocol of the Third Geneva Convention, signed in 1925, the signatory nations agreed not to use poison gas in the future, stating "the use in war of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases, and of all analogous liquids, materials or devices, has been justly condemned by the general opinion of the civilised world."[50]

Nevertheless, precautions were taken in World War II. In both Axis and Allied nations, children in school were taught to wear gas masks in case of gas attack. Italy did use poison gas against Ethiopia in 1935 and 1936, and the Empire of Japan used gas against China in 1941. Germany developed the poison gases tabun, sarin, and soman during the war, and, infamously, used Zyklon B in Nazi extermination camps. Neither Germany nor the Allied nations used any of their war gases in combat, despite maintaining large stockpiles and occasional calls for their use,[nb 1] possibly heeding warnings of awful retaliation. The United States did consider using gas to support their planned invasion of Japan.[51]"

A couple of other things brother. You state that Jackson was extremely talented. Shame he used that 'talent' for satanic music.

On the Demerol thing, has the coroner released his report yet? On the news here tonight in Australia they said that it could be weeks before it is released. Or is your statement just pure speculation or rumour?

On the throwing up during prayer requests thing. Is that the right attitude brother? Maybe natural is better, indeed natural is from God, but what gives you the right to 'throw up' when people pray that others (maybe non-Adventists) are cured by chemo?

We had one bloke in our church who would bad-mouth MD's every opportunity he got. All Mr Natural. Until I asked him who delivered his baby. Yes, he allowed an MD to deliver his child. Wonder why he didn't let his wife have a natural birth.

I agree that the chemo will kill you before the cancer will because it kills your immune system, and your immune system is already fighting hard against the cancer.

There are other ways to deal with cancer and other diseases. People run in fear, and lack of understanding and poo poo natural and alternative methods for healing.

They are out there, and available to anyone who is searching for answers. (not all that is said to be natural cures are what they claim to be, so guidance from the Lord is necessary).

With prayer, God can lead a person to find the cure that will work best for him/her.

Chemo may help in certain stages of cancer, but whoever does use chemo needs to take every measure possible to rebuild his immune system at the same time the treatment are going on.

If God has miraculously healed someone through the use of chemo, then we should give praise to God for His miracle of healing for that person. God is so merciful!

Just my thoughts!

I grew up with Michael Jackson/The Jackson 5. In that he and I are the same age and I started listening to his/their music as soon as they hit the air. I had two posters of Michael hanging in bedroom for quite a while. Both were of him before he started the cosmetic surgery. Listening to them on my transister radio and playing the vinyl. Ah the memories.

Everyone was doing it.

You are so right, CoAspen.

Coming home

Got great news today. My surgeon and oncologist, after exhaustive testing, have told me that I am free from cancer. Its been along road to recovery from colon cancer. I was lucky that it had not spread even though it was a large tumour. The six months of chemo was not fun but well worth it.

So after 8 mths away from AC. I am coming home. I sure missed it.

----------------------------------------------------------

So, chemo CAN work. This bloke is not an SDA, or even a Christian, yet the chemo worked for him, this time. It may come back, but then again, any of us may get hit by a bus.

We all have a 'position' on chemo, but maybe we should just apply that to ourselves and let those who actually have cancer decide which route they themselves want to travel.
