I think Solomon refers to that in Proverbs somewhere about keeping the tongue in check. My problem that I see here is, that depending on the person saying the stupid remarks, they get a pass. The point is "the cop behaving stupidly" followed a statement by Obama that he did not know what happened and then he as president gives his judgement. That is not the biggest fault here. The biggest failing is a president that is neither man enough or leader enough to step forward and apologize for passing judgement publically on a police officer. According to OpenSecrets.org, between 1988 and 2008 Dodd received $133,900, Kerry $111,000, Clinton $75,550, and Obama — in only 143 days in the Senate — received a whopping $105,849 from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Pennsylvania Democrat representative Paul Kanjorksi, who also opposed new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac regulations, was given more than any other member of the House of Representatives. He was paid $65,500 by representatives of these entities. And, in case you were wondering, John McCain co-sponsored a bill requiring greater Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac regulation in 2005. It was also blocked procedurally by Democrats. The 2003 New York Times article was unearthed by a Free Republic poster. The one that comes to mind first is that she will be better qualified because she is a latino woman. If I had to go before her,I wouldn't care if she was a little green man from mars. When the ruling came down in his favor it was not because one of the judges had experience in having a predator pastor destroy his marriage and home. I think I am a bit more sensitive when it comes to chemical dependency issues. I understand the disease and when someone relapse it is not a laughing matter. Would we laugh about someone whose cancer went into remission and than came back? No one would be so insensitive. So why would anyone laugh at an alcoholic that had been in recovery and fell off the wagon? Even if it were true, it certainly should not be something people with any sensitivity find funny. I have a great deal of respect for those that appear to be an honest politician,a dedicated leader of the denomination,a pastor that lives up to his calling. Even some attorney's. Have no idea what was said except that Obama voted against him and another One of the judges recused himself in rendering a decision in my son's case.
