Woody Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 You may think this is a photo of a tree. But no. It is a weed in my yard. We grow them big. Eleven feet tall to be exact and growin' every day. I've been waiting for someone to come by and volunteer to weed for us ... but so far no takers. Any volunteers? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Guest Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hey dgrimm Do you always cut your trees down from the top? Why not just cut it down at the bottom? hahahahahaha hehehehehehe hohohohoho Hey Redwood I think I hurt my neck looking at that tree. Did you take the picture laying down? Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted August 12, 2009 Members Posted August 12, 2009 Better not let it go to seed or you'll REALLY have a forest soon!!! LOL Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Guest Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 It looks like a good machete would do the trick. I know I could take it out with a bush axe. Quote
Woody Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Thanks guys. I appreciate all of your suggestions. But, I am still confused as to if I should cut it from the top or bottom. Anyways .... if I wait long enough .... perhaps it will grow to be a Redwood Tree. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Richard .... before you came here .... I was accused of growing poppies. Now you are accusing me of growing 'weed'. My reputation is really going to pot. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
GreatLakesGramma Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 What kind of wild plant is it? Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
Administrators Gail Posted August 12, 2009 Administrators Posted August 12, 2009 Richard .... before you came here .... I was accused of growing poppies. Now you are accusing me of growing 'weed'. My reputation is really going to pot. That is definitely NOT weed. Believe me, I know. We use chain saws up here... Administrators Gail Posted August 12, 2009 Administrators Posted August 12, 2009 Hey Gail, does Spooky's hair ever get messed up? No. Spooky's hair will stand on end if she's, well, spooked, but it doesn't get messed up. Administrators Gail Posted August 13, 2009 Administrators Posted August 13, 2009 Mr. Murphy wanted me to ask. The picture to the left, that's not Spooky, BTW. Spooky is a Weimaraner. Very grey, ghostly-looking pup. She has 2 differently-coloured eyes. Kinda freaky. Not as handsome as the fellow to the left. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted August 13, 2009 Administrators Posted August 13, 2009 But some people, though, think Spooky is beautiful. Now... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Guest Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Oh...well this is Mr. Murphy to the left. I like weimaraners though. Quote

Dr. Shane Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 That is definitely NOT weed. Believe me, I know. We use chain saws up here... When I first bought my property I had to cut some weeds down with my chain saw but... one expects that in Texas. Down here, everything is big. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Liz Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 What's a Rumor Weed? That was a Vegetales reference. They are cartoons for kids that teach a lesson. The rumor weed started out small, but as the citizens started spreading rumors around the town, it grew and grew, until it was enormous. I am NOT implying that my Uncle Redwood spreads rumors, just that his weed reminded me of "the Rumor weed". Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?
