Dr. Shane Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Function is in the eye of the beholder or even the holder for that matter. Very true. Sometimes the beholder is just the person themselves standing in front of the mirror. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

olger Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Pull in your toes, because I am going to step on some of them. This whole topic is so wrong. Our society has degraded our women for so long and with such hardness, that we we cannot even see this issue from God's perspective. The world desperately needs an Isaiah to stand up and rebuke our pride and rebellion, and call us to repentance before it is eternally too late. Ichabod, Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

GoLions Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I read a book by one of the Mitchoff sisters (from 3ABN). She entered into a beauty pageant against her parents wishes which led to alot of misery and woe. Our Pastor in talking about modesty of dress. Told the women in church that they should be wary of dressing as shark bait. You don't want to attract sharks, and even a guppy can turn into a shark with the wrong circumstances. Some may say that it is the males (or sharks) fault if things go wrong. That maybe, but if the shark attacts, the victim will not be just the shark, but the bait as well. Yes, sharks will still attack even unprovoked, that doesn't mean you can go chumming the waters. Quote

olger Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Excellent point. God will hold two people accountable on that day. Those who lusted, and those who enticed. "Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?" (Proverbs 6:27). g Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
