Members phkrause Posted October 31, 2009 Members Posted October 31, 2009 I'm guessing that baseball and even ebay could be considered hobbies. Or is boating, canoeing, swimming better activities? pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Mighty Oak Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Thanks for understanding Richard. Pkrause, what I said was maybe we ought to focus on nature hobbies. My thought being that we could be talking about something that relates to the natural world which God created in 6 days. Quote

Stan Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 MO I regret jumping the gun there with the comment that I made. We should be able to discuss any new thought without sarcasm. What I did was wrong, and violated one of my own principals. Members phkrause Posted October 31, 2009 Members Posted October 31, 2009 I knew what you meant, Mighty Oak. I was just being sarcastic, sorry about that. All my life people tell you what you can and can't do on the sabbath. One will say I go to the beach, and that's OK but what the other one does, like canoeing is not OK. But I do understand what you saying. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Mighty Oak Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 I appreciate the spirit I sense with you, Stan. I will admit that I was very disappointed earlier in your response, but I think it is important to keep looking ahead to try to make it to the prize. Apology accepted. Quote
Guest Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Hey MO, I am fairly new in coming back to the faith myself. Were you raised in it? Quote
Mighty Oak Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Thanks Pk, I have to battle a bit with what I say as well. Just wondering by the way as I note the PK here if you were in addition a preacher's kid? Some of my friends were when I was growing up. I imagine that a preacher's kid would be in a position where they were told how to keep the Sabbath from many perspectives. Quote
Members phkrause Posted October 31, 2009 Members Posted October 31, 2009 Thanks dgrimm, that's what I actually meant.
