Woody Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Praise God ... He seems to raise up good people who lift up Jesus ... in each generation. In our generation .. we have great men such as: Jack Sequeira Jon Paulien Philip Yancey Alden Thompsen Edward Heppenstall George Knight Can you think of others who have accepted Christ in our generation and made a good impact for God? Praise God ... throughout each and every generation ... God has had His people who remain faithful. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Woody Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 There you go Rudywoofs. Thanks. I knew I could count on you. Great suggestion. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 My wife had a great professor at the seminary. I think her name was Joanne Davidson or something like that. I'll have to ask her when she gets home from Vespers. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Members phkrause Posted November 14, 2009 Members Posted November 14, 2009 I know Richard, you mentioned that on one of the threads. He united my wife and I in marriage. I worked with his brother Elliot at FFT in NY. I also went to the baptism of his older brother, the whole family I believe was there. It was such a moving experience. I cried with there whole family. I think I know one to two other brothers. One played for the Pittsburgh Pirate or St. Louis Cardinals minor league team for about 10 years. Not sure if that is the brother that was a dean at La Sierra University for a while a few years back. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Administrators Gail Posted November 14, 2009 Administrators Posted November 14, 2009 Interesting title... I imagined one person here who I figure would have posted the opposite, that there have been those who have rejected Christ in every generation. I don't know why it is that some folks focus on the negative and some on the positive. But I like this idea! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Woody Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 What are you doing up at 5 am ? Actually ... I do believe I have seen that show but not at 5 am. Members phkrause Posted November 15, 2009 Members Posted November 15, 2009 I tape the show Redwood and watch it on Friday evenings and on Sabbath, as I'm recording it onto DVDs. But I used to get up at 5 monday-friday, when I was employed. On Saturday and Sunday I got up around 6. Now with the grandson anytime is getup time. Woody Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 I can't tape 3ABN. But I can TIVO the Hope Channel. Don't ask me why ... but we have a complicated techno issue with the Adventist Satellite versus the Direct TV Satellite. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won.
