Woody Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 We got an ad for our local small car dealer. He is trying hard to sell cars this year. But in the ad there is an opportunity to win a 2010 Dodge Challenger. They say all you have to do is to either match the key which they enclosed or to match the number with the winning gift. We when we uncovered the item ... it was the car and it said we won. We called the car dealer to see if our number matched. It did. They told us we have won the car. Now I am not counting my chickens before they are hatched. But it does look promising. I just recently was disappointed on CA when I was informed that I did not own my house for one dollar. Now this thing. They say the odds are one in one million. And I've never been that lucky before. What do you think my odds are now to win this souped up good looking wild man vehicle? Maybe I should post the car for you to see. Hope you will be seeing me in this hot rod car flying around in a town near you. Perhaps I need a good lawyer ? Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 27, 2009 Members Posted December 27, 2009 I hope you won the car!!! I've never won anything... well, that's not true. At the Seattle Worlds Fair my Dad won a huge teddy bear for me, so I guess you could say I won that by proxy. Woody Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Yes. We sure would look cool in that souped up hot rod ... flyin' through the town headed to church. HA HA Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 , Oh Yeah. MERRY CHRISTMAS. This sure beats my Morris Vendon book. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted December 27, 2009 Members Posted December 27, 2009 So Redwood did your key start the car? This is usually a ploy to get you there. But I'm hoping you won. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 So Redwood did your key start the car? This is usually a ploy to get you there. But I'm hoping you won. pk We will go there tomorrow and stick the key in the ignition and hope for the best. But they already told us that we've won it because the numbers match it. We just have to redeem it somehow. Yes, they always have a trick up their sleeve. And we asked them what the trick is ... and they said no trick ... you win. Just come and get your car. Hmmm? Amelia Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 The trick is, if your key wont start it, they have other cars they can sell you. It's a way to get people in the showroom. They need to make room for all the 2010 cars. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted December 28, 2009 Members Posted December 28, 2009 I wonder how many other people got the same number and key... Woody Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 Oh NO. This is sounding discouraging. You all will need to start praying real hard for this key when we go tomorrow. Please ... I need your prayers for that key. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Guest Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Yes, I would take that car over a Morris Venden book any day. Quote

Woody Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 Yes. I need the car. It will help me witness to the youth. They will think I am hip and groovy if I drive a wild car like that. Woody Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 Hey ... for some reason I am not feeling much support for getting my groovy car. GreatLakesGramma Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I won a candy bar in a math bee in 7th grade math class. I also won a trip to Chicago in a 4-H style show, as a teen. For those who don't know, the style show is where you model the sewing, knitting, or crochet projects you make each year. It was a modeling prize. I went with a group of fellow 4-H teen girls and leaders for a weekend. We did a little touring, shopped at a fabric store in Chicago, and ate dinner in the "Top of the Rock" restaurant in the Prudential building. A few years earlier, I won second place for showmanship in my age class in the 4-H dairy show at the fair. I was presented with a blanket for my heifer by my own father, who was the DHIA milk tester in our county. DHIA stands for Dairy Herd Improvement Association. It's a service for dairy farmers run by Michigan State University, to help them improve their dairy herds. That was my very first year in the 4-H dairy program, so it was quite a surprise that I would come in second in showmanship. My mother's youngest cousin, who was a few years older than me, and had been in the dairy program for a few years already, came in third. And all I actually did was follow her and do exactly what she did. She was just a tiny bit miffed about that, but not really. Especially since I also came in one place before her in the dairy breed show. Or, I should say my heifer came in before hers. I have never won anything like a car though. I've only won awards for my own skills and efforts. Oh, I've won a door prize or two at various meetings. Just small things. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. "To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you." -- C. S. Lewis
Members phkrause Posted December 28, 2009 Members Posted December 28, 2009 Hey ... for some reason I am not feeling much support for getting my groovy car. Let us pray .................................................. I hate to say this Red but a few years back I won a free trip to Florida. It sounded great at first. But we had to get ourselves down there. They sent us to two different places. One for 2 days and 3 nights, the other was 3 days and 4 nights. Well when we got there we had to go and sit through a hour and a half of listening to someone trying to sell us a timeshare. So when that was done, I asked if we had to do that at the other place as well and they said yes. So I drove to my mom's and we stay there. When I got home I called this place that we won the trip from and told them never to send me that xyzxyx stuff anymore. Hopefully the car thing won't be as big of a pain as that. Just go without any expectations, because if you do and you find out it was just a scam, you will be disappointed. But should you actually win the car you will go home with a big smile on your face. Good luck Redwood. I do hope that its legit and not a scam. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
SivartM Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Hey, I'm on a trip to Washington, D.C. right now, and my parents have to listen to people try to sell them a timeshare! \:D/ I think it has something to do with transferring our hotel reservations or something, though. We didn't win a free trip. Although maybe my parents could ask to stay for free since they have to go through such torture. :D Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. Liz Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Several years ago, I guessed the number of jelly beans in a jar correctly and won a bag of goodies from the local library. And just recently I won a free box of Ding Dongs. I hope you win the car, and then take your favorite niece for a ride in it. Don't forget though, that even if you do win it--which I hope you do--you will still need to pay taxes on it.
