Its ridiculous the way some don't want to be accountable and just dismiss any attempts to make them accountable as "racist" or "discrimination." fccool Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 The guy was driving on the wrong side, for crying out loud ! I've done it mistakenly a couple times... some streets are confusing to drive on. I don't understand why he's running away though, maybe he did have something to hide. It cops' job to take down the suspects. It should be common sense that running to church would not stop them from doing so... on the other hand, that would probably increase church attendance some :) Quote

Not only is it illegal; it is potentially very dangerous to drive on the wrong side; and the reason you drive on the wrong side does not change the law or negate the danger. Nobody runs from the police unless they know they did something wrong. Not only did the police have a right, they had an legal obligation to do what they did. Why do people have such trouble just saying someone was wrong? Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Why do people have such trouble just saying someone was wrong? Because we are a nation of victims. Driving the wrong way generally does bring you to the attention of a PO. Did it once.Wasn't really my fault of course. They had changed the street to a one way. That nasty cop didn't care at all, gave me a good chewing out and a big fat ticket. Bet if I had run from them, driving on the sidewalk I may have gotten more than the ticket. The very last place I would run would be into my church guilty as sin running from the police Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. You could just try examining how people might see your post. Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Moderators LynnDel Posted January 5, 2011 Moderators Posted January 5, 2011 What fccool said was clear to me, Overaged - but the confusion goes to show that what is clear in one person's mind may not be to another's. If you have a certain sequence of thought in your mind, it is possible that your understanding of what they said is different than what they meant to communicate. Matching receptive communication to expressive communication is an ongoing challenge in all avenues of life, and it's great when two people can give each other the benefit of a doubt and give the other a chance to explain himself without having to defend himself. Dr. Shane Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Quote: His lawyer, Mark Pollard, said the car belonged to a friend's mother. "All these charges are trumped up," he added. He said the cops kicked Jones in the head and punched him in the stomach when they found him. First Elder Peter Leonce said cops ignored his offers to negotiate the suspect's surrender and demanded an apology. It looks like the cops acted stupidly. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Amelia Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I watched the video and no one looks to be "in a state of panic". Doesn't appear a service is taking place. And what does it matter who the car belonged to? Why didn't the young man pull over when the police lit him up? Running from the police always adds to your troubles significantly. fccool Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I sort of thought that that was not the main sanctuary, like it's in some places that I've been to. From reading the article, I was under impression that a church service was taking place, perhaps there were no cameras there? I could be wrong. Quote
