The halt on off shore drilling is going to force up to 400,000 on the unemployment lines.Of course we will just import from those that keep on drilling.Good economics. Oil causes the green loons to go off the deep end. Have you ever heard anyone demand a stop to airline flights when a big loaded jet liner goes down? No one whined for the halt of the space program when the Challenger blew it's passengers to pieces. By the time the admin is done with the oil spill it is going to hit the economy hard when it can least be able to handle it. Maybe instead of trying to sound like a big tough guy looking for someone's @#$ to kick,at least a portion of what some states have asked for could have been provided. But it will be all better when BP goes bankrupt. If a president can actually force a company to pay the wages of all those unemployed because of actions the government took we are in bigger trouble than we know. If that were to be accomplished BP will almost certainly go belly up and with it a whole lot of pensions for the average person. Is it to indicate that up to 400,000 jobs and related jobs to the oil industry will not be lost? Does it indicate that the administration did not demand BP pay wages for all? Does it indicate with the type of demands being placed on BP will not have the power to bankrupt them? Surely not with the dreaded Adventists I hope.
