I read the White Estate's response several years ago. They do not address the specific quotes in question and seem to be evasive in their response. I never felt like that addressed the question with any satisfaction.

Yes....Noticed I said "the everlasting gospel". There are many gospels, but only one true gospel. That's why Paul stated,

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7 which is really no gospel at all. Kountzer I saw this program, but I believe it was after 9/11. I think it was a repeat, obviously, when I did watch it. I thought that was pretty interesting than. Than when I learned that it was before 9/11 I was really amazed.

I am not ready to jump on a band wagon and say that she predicted 9/11 for sure. However if this was a civil court trial and I had to make a ruling on the preponderance of the evidence, I would have to vote with those saying she did predrict the event. That is to say I think there is greater than a 50% chance that she did predict it.

Oh I agree with you. I don't think that she predicted this. I believe that she was shown a vision of something that would happen in NY, I have no problem with this.

That's what true prophets do. They are shown a vision and they tell others what they were shown. Maybe she didn't know exactly what the vision was all about, but God knew.

The whole idea that EGW foresaw specifically 9/11 presupposes that it was a forgone conclusion that Christ would not come for a hundred years, which wasn't the case. Also the vision looks to be saying *all* the great buildings of New York would fall, not just a couple. That's certainly the way it read to me. E.g.

"The great buildings" seems to indicate not just 2 or 4, but more than that.

I think it's a prophecy relating to the time right before Christ comes again, after probation has closed, and the 144,000 have been sealed, and the 7 plagues are being poured out.

From the context of these particular writings it seems that she talks about Christ's coming in the last days and the destruction that follows. It's very easy to take anything out of immediate context and attribute the similarities to the fulfilled prophecy. People do it to Nostradamus constantly.

On top of that, if you believe that is in fact a fulfilled prophecy, you likewise have to attribute the act of terrorist as an act of God. That would be pretty silly, and you should join in with Pat Robertson's ideology of Katrina being a punishment for the sins of New Orleans.
