Ellen White Saw 9/11?

Sister White writes that God used the Muslims to punish the Catholics for their image worship. So it is not impossible that God could use the Muslims again.

HOWEVER just because God can see a terrorist attack in the future and use a prophet to warn us about it, doesn't mean that it is part of God's will. I personally do not believe the terrorist attacks were an act of God.

To say that she was indeed talking about 9-11 would indeed equate 9-11 to an act of God that she compares to the destruction of Sodom (likewise an act of God).

I disagree. I can see how someone could read the passage in that context but it certainly is not accurate to say it is "clearly" written that way.

The way I read it she was describing the wickedness of the last days. During this time period is when she sees the skyscrapers burn. She goes on to say, "when the Lord's time comes... No material can be used in the erection of buildings that will preserve them from destruction when God's appointed time comes to send retribution on men for their disregard of His law and for their selfish ambition." The way I read it, the reference to "the Lord's time" is a reference to the Second Coming of Christ. The New York skyscrapers are referenced as burning during these last days. Two different times and two different events. Although I do see how others could read the passage differently.
