SivartM Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 I think it would be really cool if we bowed instead of shaking hands. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Woody Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 I don't believe it. I think we all have come to an agreement. Now that must be a first. NOW .... Let's quickly close this discussion before the disagreeable ones show up. PS. And besides ... 'nuff sed didn't want us discussing this topic anyways. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Moderators Gerr Posted July 17, 2010 Moderators Posted July 17, 2010 Will that gel kill viruses? I ran a quick check - one expert said it has to have at least 62% ethyl alcohol to have any anti-viral effect. Quote
SivartM Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 That's exactly how much ethyl alcohol Germ-X contains. I know that percentage by heart. Don't ask why. SivartM Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 No, I think it's secular. Maybe we should have a Bible study about hand sanitizer. I TOTALLY DISAGREE. I have been shaking hands for over 50 years and I haven't gotten any disease of any kind from it. I saw a TV show a while ago where two guys did the bowing thing and they misjudged their distance somehow, hitting their heads together and the one actually died. SivartM Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Have you gotten sick at all in the last 50 years? How do you know it wasn't from shaking hands? Moderators Nan Posted July 18, 2010 Moderators Posted July 18, 2010 On a cruise I experienced a couple of years ago the captain refused to shake hands on the grounds of what he might acquire....gotta be wary out there Quote

Well, I'm a hugger, and except for that one really unfortunate accident that happened in church a while a go, I still practice it. But now you got me wondering...Can people who have stopped shaking hands prove that they are sick less often; and that it is indisputably because of NO HANDSHAKING?
