Unless you approved why would you laugh and clap at stories like that This thread is about Ms Sherrod and specifically, the news people who did not do thier professional and swarn duty to report the truth as they see it. It is not about the resultant after math, of Obama's failure to do the same thing as the Journalists were supposed to do, nor about the NAACP who origionally called for her firing and then backtracked once they started to listen to her and found the unedited video tape... It's about those who report the story...It's about the left wing as well as the right wing...but mostly it's about the right wing reporters and their hatred of anything Obama....It's about professional journalism and the ability to report objectively....and checking facts.... So dont be side tracking us with the NAACP thingy...if it wasn't for FauxNews and thier harping on an edited film and thier POOR JOURNALISM, we wouldn't be having this discussion.... If you listen to the full video, you will find that they are not "approving" when those people laughed...they are "identifying" as in they see that in themselves...And in the rest of the video, Shirley shows us that God, who "put things in your path", taught her some lessons we all could learn... Surely the President of the United States could wait for ALL the facts to come out before firing someone. This clearly demonstrates poor judgment by the President of the United States. Let me make this utterly clear: What you see on Fox News, what you read on Right Wing websites, is the utter and complete perversion of journalism, and it can have no place in a civilized society. It is words crashed together, never to inform, only to inflame. It is a political guillotine. It is the manipulation of reality to make the racist seem benevolent, and to convict the benevolent as racist — even if her words must be edited, filleted, stripped of all context, rearranged, fabricated, and falsified, to do so. What you see on Fox News, what you read on Right Wing websites… is a manipulation. Not just of a story, not just on behalf of a political philosophy. Manipulation of a society, its intentional redirection from reality and progress, to a paranoid delusion and the fomenting of hatred of Americans by Americans. Typical of libs I don't think it was intended to be about Sherrod as it was the speech given to the NAACP.She doesn't appear to be known well enough to have this deliberate against her personally. I have not kept track of this but I would hope there is a apology to this woman as public as the tape was. An apology much more sincere than that of Dan Rather with his questionable tactics towards President Bush. Regardless Obama does bear his own responsibility in this. She doesn't appear to have been important enough for him to come out swinging like he did at the cop "that acted stupidly" while at the same time Obama says he knew nothing of the details. With his silence about the conduct of his DOJ head and the behavior of the Black Panthers,including the "killing of white babies",his immediate response to firing this woman because of the tape is a little questionable. FauxNews is the source of the problem thru irresponsible reporting, poor professionalism and the promotion of an agenda... If FauxNews had been professional, if they had waited and gotten ALL of the information, they would have never reported on it.... Instead, to fill time in thier 24 hour news cast, they used it to fill time inbetween thier regular news.... All other incidents are a direct result of FauxNews... Again, WHO took them out of context? FauxNews... Who reacted to this report? Lot's of people, as they should when a reporting news agency shows an injustice. People contact thier congressman that some woman is making racial remarks, and she works in a department that has a history of racial bias. The congressman contacts the department of agriculture, complaining. Several complaints of this magnitude, and something will be done...That's right, there's a history that the department of Agriculture has a history of racial bias. So, the goverment is going to be rather sensitive in this area.... If FauxNews had been responsible and had not been out promoting thier agenda, none of this would have happened... NONE....zip!
