The same tends to apply to everyone, of course. What we need, nationally and internationally, is: (a) citizens who are willing to seek out news and information that challenges their views as well as what supports them and ( leaders who are willing to lead, rather than follow. Following the polls, or phony media outrage, is the recipe for messes like this. We're in the middle of an election campaign in Australia right now, and neither of the leaders is leading. Apparently you didn't listen to the whole "rant". He castigated far more than Fox News and right wing websites. He was equally harsh against all others in the media as well, including MSNBC and himself. He was also harshly critical of the Obama adminstration and its knee-jerk reaction ot a false news story. He mentioned a lot of people, but I don't watch TV, and I have no idea who any of them are, or which "side" they are on. Both in the wrong, which is true, but by what he said the entire right is despicable and untrustworthy all the time, while the left just made a stupid mistake. That is not correct. GoLions has it right, both sides are under the control of Satan. Neither should be trusted, and the administration should never have allowed itself to be swayed by a single news report and the threat of something being commented on by someone on TV. They should have checked the facts, and not acted in haste. If you feel people here are missing your point, why didn't you state your own point, in your own words, instead of just posting the one part of the man's speech that was directed against one side of the media, and then blaming us for thinking that was your point? He's stating his personal opinion, indirectly attacking the position of all conservative members of this forum, and barring anyone else from replying to it. I am in full agreement with Pam. Well that IS within the moderator's right to do. He can set whatever tone he likes. If he wishes for only HIS own agenda to be presented ... he can do that. Whoops ... Tom's not the moderator here.
