This is chilling ... ======================================= In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a "National Day of Prayer." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 1988 President Reagan designated the First Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In June 2007 (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA Was no longer a Christian nation. --------------------------------------------------------------- This year President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the ruse Of "not wanting to offend anyone" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On September 25, 2009 from 4 am until 7 pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was Held on Capitol Hill, Beside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims that Day in D.C. HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS! I guess it Doesn't matter if "Christians" Are offended by this event - We obviously Don't count as "anyone" Anymore. The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated. This is not a Rumor – Go to the website To confirm this info: ( http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/ ) Pay particular attention to the very bottom of the page: "OUR TIME HAS COME" I hope that this information will stir your spirit. The words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, Who are called by my Name, Will humble themselves And pray, And seek my face, and Turn from their Wicked ways, Then will I hear from Heaven And will forgive their Sin and will heal Their land." We must pray for Our nation, our communities, Our families, and especially our children. They are the ones who are going to suffer the most. . If we don't PRAY May God have Mercy. IN GOD WE TRUST. Do we? Regards!! anyone concerned? Quote Lift Jesus up!!
LifeHiscost Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 LIFEHISCOST WELL that is interesting about how OBAMA is leaning more and more to the Muslims than christians this is going to cause more and more conserative christians to raise up and vote for what they think is the right way dgrimm6m0 Quote Lift Jesus up!!
SivartM Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 There is that little thing called "freedom of religion" which says that people can belong to any religion they wish, and that other little thing called "reality" in which most Muslims are not out to kill us. I rarely see either of those in email forwards. By the way, if you copy this message and post it to ten other threads, Bill Gates will send you a thousand dollars. So you wouldn't mind if Sharia law was practiced in the United States? It's based on the Quran. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Members phkrause Posted August 5, 2010 Members Posted August 5, 2010 So you wouldn't mind if Sharia law was practiced in the United States? It's based on the Quran. I'm not sure if that's correct rudywoofs. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
SivartM Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Since the only law than can be enforced in the United States is United States law, I'm not worried. However, I might add, the death of Jesus, which gave the gift of freedom of choice, does not remove the sure consequences of believing a lie, unless, when it is seen to be a lie, it is repented. Woody Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 All I know is that we need to be aware of Obama and what he is doing to destroy Christianity. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Liz Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 This is an urban legend, please check it out on Snopes.com. President Obama did not cancel the national day of prayer, and he didn't make another national day for the Muslims. This is just fear-mongering. Woody Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Well ... there IS much to fear from this man. Just look at what he's done to our nation in a short time. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
SivartM Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 It looks the same to me... Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus
Liz Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Well ... there IS much to fear from this man. Just look at what he's done to our nation in a short time. Fine, but you should be judging* him on what he has done, not listening to falsehoods and tales that are simply attributed to him but are in fact lies. *I am using the word judge here in the broad sense, not on deciding his eternal fate. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted August 5, 2010 Members Posted August 5, 2010 He didn't cancel it, but he didn't participate either. Quote: Unlike former President George W. Bush, Mr. Obama has not held services in conjunction with the National Day of Prayer, though he has participated in a number of prayer breakfasts while in office; the decision to put less of a focus on the day prompted a false Internet-driven rumor that he had "canceled" the event because he prefers to pray with Muslims. (Snopes debunks the rumor here.) The White House said the president, who has not been a regular churchgoer in office, is praying privately instead of holding an ecumenical service, as Mr. Bush did. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20004321-503544.htm Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Woody Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Thank you Rudywoofs. That is indeed what I will judge him on. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Members phkrause Posted August 5, 2010 Members Posted August 5, 2010 By the way Christianity has been going down hill for many years. And most of the throwing out of christianity was during the Bush administration, not that he personally had anything to do with that. Also during the end of Clinton's term. aldona Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Just tagging on here, not a reply to any specific person... If you are following God, what does it matter what Caesar does? Do you read about the early Christians getting all heated up about how the Roman or Greek rulers were "trying to destroy Christianity"? Historically, the church has flourished (both in terms of numbers and quality of faith) during periods of persecution by secular governments. Why is the modern day church so intent on ensuring that the secular government is just like them, and is on their side? Is "separation of church and state" just a catchy slogan? Aldona (neither for or against Obama, but VERY comfortable living in a secular nation under an atheist/agnostic Prime Minister) Quote www.asrc.org.au (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Melbourne)Helping over 2000 refugees & asylum seekers each monthIMSLP/Petrucci Music LibraryThe Public Domain Music Score Library - Free Sheet Music DownloadsLooking for classical sheet music? President Obama did not cancel the national day of prayer, and he didn't make another national day for the Muslims. This is just fear-mongering. BTW, did you follow the URL to the web page? And is Snopes more credible than the web page? And is following the leader of a faith that does not believe Jesus to be any more of a Son of God than you are, a safe option. While President Obama is probably no more influential than any other President of the most powerful nation in the world, perhaps if he were to change his name to Nero, and he played the violin, it might seem more worthwhile to spread the news that America has lost more individual liberties in the last decade than in the previous two centuries. Excuse me. "When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape." 1 Thessalonians 5:3 AMP Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted August 5, 2010 Members Posted August 5, 2010 I looked at the website. It did not state that Obama cancelled the Day of Prayer or that he designated another Day of Prayer specifically for Moslems. What *did* give me pause was the minute directions given to obtain access to the Senate and House on Capitol Hill. Here is their agenda for today: Quote: - Task One The Athan will be chanted on Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill. - Task Two Thousands of Muslims from all races, creeds, colors and ethnicities will gather for the sole purpose of prayer. - Task Three Bonds of friendship will be formed between those in attendance, both Muslims and Non-Muslims. - Task Four Muslim youth will experience tours of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. - Task Five The peace, beauty and solidarity of Islam will shine through America's capitol. Guest Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Yeah but nothin. Fox News is rarely ever wrong. You mainstream media guys are the ones who never check your facts. But then why check facts, when you know it's a lie to start with. One bald face lie after another. Quote

Guest Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Ah, yes....Ms Sherrod and her firing comes to mind, along with the the involvement of FauxNews publishing erroneous information to the general public...."Fox News is rarely ever wrong"...riiiight.... This just proves my point That you're mis-informed by your lying mainstream media. They know what the truth is now, but they're not changing their story, because it doesn't fit with what they want to present. And why should they, when people like you just swallow whatever they say, hook, line, and sinker. Without ever once bothering to check to see if it's true. HA HA HA You don't check on them because you actually believe that what you're getting is honest journalism. I have news for you my friend, Honest journalism has been dead in the mainstream for a long long time. Now here's the truth. It is a fact, and facts can be verified, which is what I want you to do. You think you can do it? Fox News never ran a story about Ms Sherrod until AFTER she had already been fired. It was your President, and your favorite news outlets who tried to blame all the confusion on Fox News. And kept doing so, even after they knew it wasn't the truth. Go check it out. Maybe you'll learn something. (I doubt it though) Quote
