Moderators John317 Posted October 27, 2010 Moderators Posted October 27, 2010 Thanks for that info, Pam. I thought I remembered something similar to Paul's post before. Actually I believe I know "Paul" from a different Adventist forum. If he comes and posts the same message again, it will be deleted. One or two of the same message is plenty. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

GreatLakesGramma Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Give the guy a break - why does he need to be publicly railed on like this? Somebody comes here and issues a blanket condemnation of everybody here, without spending any time actually getting to know any of us, or anything about us, and you have a problem with members voicing objections to his attitude? Dr. Rich Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I would agree with some of what was said in that it does appear that some here don't do anything but sit at their computer and answer threads. I am guilty of some of this too I suppose. But then none of us know what else is going on because we can't see that. I had been reading threads from this forum for many months before I saw one I just had to respond to. I don't mind giving my name out and will if anyone wants it for some reason. While I also have 'my agenda' (shucks, I have been exposed), I find it very enjoyable to log on to this site and read stuff and see the pictures from you guys. I know too that many don't go to a regular church anymore (I do) so these thread are a way to communicate with others and possibly to get to know people too. Many don't agree with what I write but when talking to me on the phone or in person they might see another side of me. Perhaps it is because I deal with people all over the country on the internet in my 'job', I have found the net to be an advantage in reacing those all around the world in places where I could never go or don't have the funds to get there. And yes, I too have seen where he posted about the same thing on other blogs, so it does appear that GreatLakesGrama is right. Quote

Guest Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 When I first came here, I almost left a message similar to the one in the OP. Because the first person I had any interaction with was Dr. Rich. He made me so mad though I had to come back to argue. In the process, I met a couple of people who don't believe all that stuff he does, so I stuck around. Been arguing with Rich ever since. Sometimes we even do it by e-mail now. Quote

Dr. Rich Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I keep telling Richard that I would agree with him but then we both would be wrong. Quote

skyblue888 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 A true follower, one who is truly obedient to the whole law of God through the grace of God in Christ will never boast of anything anyway, let alone boasting of his obedience for he will be the last one to be aware of it and if he became aware of it, he would still be the first one to acknowledge himself the chief of sinners because he knows that he is capable of the worse sins be it not for the grace of God. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." Ellen Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Long posts are very often skipped over (if my experience is average). You get a point across lot better in being brief. This is supposed to contain suggestions. I'm not sure if Paul meant this to be a suggestion or just an opportunity to rant. I think getting all that off his chest may have been cathartic. So this forum is good for something !! Quote

ChildofChrist Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Wow, Paul G sounded upset and perhaps disappointed with what he was expecting and finding after being here over 4 months. IMO, not everyone can "go to all the world." BUT there is a mission that everyone can find to do. At first, I was raising children, then grandchildren. Then I took care of my sister dying from cancer. After that was a gentleman that never believed in God and was on his death bed when I first arrived to nurse him. When God called me from that patient to minister to my aged aunt and long time friend, I later learned that the man lived over 13 months! We don't always need to go to the ends of the world. Often it is right there in front of us. I hope Paul has found what he has been looking for. Amen? Quote Wakan Tanka Kici Un ~~Child of Christ~~
Members phkrause Posted July 2, 2011 Members Posted July 2, 2011 So true COC. I also hope he has found what he was looking for. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
whatisthis Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I resemble that remark, Paul! I apologize for doing all that you are talking about here. Quote more later
LifeHiscost Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I read this' Quote: Forgive me but you people are about as interested in facing God's truth or edifying in His name as the devil is? So as God is our witness, I've shaken off the dust of you and have prayed that "you" might eventually come to your senses and stop wasting time in forums judging each other and pretending to be obedient followers? And don't quite see it this way, Quote: I'm not Adventist. I'm His. But probably more like this, "Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night."Revelation 12:10 NASB However there still is some hope, " But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much."Matthew 5:44-46 NLT I'll make effort to get back later if I don't get hit with a stone before I get here. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
ClubV12 Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 As for me, I've learned a ton of stuff around here. I guess I'll stick around for a bit. Quote
LifeHiscost Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 My bad. Not necessarily. Here's the way one of Scriptural stature dealt with a spammer. "One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a demon-possessed slave girl. She was a fortune-teller who earned a lot of money for her masters. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her. Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered" Acts 16:16-19 NLT God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
