Members abelisle Posted January 8, 2011 Author Members Posted January 8, 2011 Woody, I hope you're right and I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about this especially based on her being on Palin's "hit" list and the comment her grandfather made when asked if she had any enemies and his reply was "Yes, the whole Tea Party." We can't continue to spew hate speech in the media e.g. Beck et al and expect nothing to happen. As they say "what goes around, comes around." Dr. Shane Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I don't think things like this are bound to happen. At least I choose not to be that negative. I suppose some believe the assassination of our first black President is bound to happen. I certainly hope not. Shooting Takes on Political Overtones Quote: “At a time like this, it is terrible that we do have to think about politics, but no matter what the shooter’s motivations were, the left is going to blame this on the Tea Party Movement,” said Judson Phillips, the Tennessee lawyer who started Tea Party Nation. “Already on liberal websites, the far left is trying to accuse the Tea Party of being involved. Moderators John317 Posted January 8, 2011 Moderators Posted January 8, 2011 Compared to what's coming, we're still living in relative peaceful, prosperous, happy times. The Bible and Ellen White both predict times that will be like WW II all over the globe, only worse. The U.S. will completely collapse economically and there will be many Christian/SDA martyrs during intense persecution. So, as bad as it is, we really haven't seen anything yet. I think the shooting is an example of the terrible things we'll eventually see more of in this country as people get more desperate and the Holy Spirit is withdrawn. We will need to be able to stand all alone with only Christ as our helper. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Careful students of prophecy know that the end-time will come about suddenly, and 'with blinding force'. Those who believe will prepare. Incidents like this can spark a conflagration if the tinder is dry - think of the L.A riots of 1992. Images from Tucson remind me of natural disasters I've attended where there is always a supportive infrastructure. Helicopters, firemen, EMTs, surgeons, ICUs. Such will not be the case when Michael stands up. (Daniel 12:1) Thanks again for this reminder John. These thoughts should be with us continually. Quote

Dr. Shane Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Keith Olbermann is a far left-wing commentator. He is to the left what Rush Limbaugh is to the right. They are both part of the problem in America today. Keith Olbermann telling people not to "target" their political enemies is like the pot calling the kettle black. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
