Keith Olbermann is a far left-wing commentator. He is to the left what Rush Limbaugh is to the right. They are both part of the problem in America today. Keith Olbermann telling people not to "target" their political enemies is like the pot calling the kettle black.

Couldn't be a just plain nut case. It has to have something to do woth the evil te party members.

Where was all the righteous indignation when Nacny Pelosi publically declared Michelle bachman a target?

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

Here in Canada; we heard on the news a while ago a Baptist minister (from California) pubically praying on TV for the death of someone he didn't like. Seems to me this disease knows no barriers. You make a good point Bonnie.

"People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." (Job 37:21)

"I cannot know why suddenly the storm

should rage so fiercely round me in it's wrath

But this I know: God watches all my path

And I can trust"

Alex,

Did you have a bad feeling about this when nancy pelosi publically said Michelle Bachman was her target??

Quote:
I hope you're right and I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about this especially based on her being on Palin's "hit" list

Quote:
and the comment her grandfather made when asked if she had any enemies and his reply was "Yes, the whole Tea Party."

That the tea party members did not see politics her way, this means they would should her?

Quote:
We can't continue to spew hate speech in the media e.g. Beck et al and expect nothing to happen. As they say "what goes around, comes around."

You are right, you shouldn't continue to spew hate sppech as you have just done.

You are clueless as to what and why as you admitted in your first post. Now you have the culprits.

Maybe those that worry so much about hate sppech should wash their mouth out with soap before casting blame

Not that it matters,a loony is a loony whether left or right but it is beginning to llok as if the shooter had some left leanings

Now that I think of it. I do recall both Clinton and Obama 'targeting' Rush Limbaugh.

Those white bars of Ivory Soap they used to make would work wonders.

Look who else put 'bull's-eye' on Giffords

Quote:
Shortly after news broke of the attempted murder of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., the left-leaning blog Daily Kos was swift to scrub its post from a Tucson writer explaining how the congresswoman was now "dead to me."

One of the blog's diary writers, identifying himself as BoyBlue, had written a post only two days before the shooting titled "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!"

...Moulitsas, however, had also posted what he called a "target list" identifying Giffords. In a 2008 Daily Kos post, Moulitsas listed Giffords as one of dozens of representatives with "a bull's-eye on their district" for being a "bad apple" Democrat.

The "dead to me" diary has since been deleted from Daily Kos, while Moulitsas' "target list" is still viewable.

Hmm . . . how would Jesus respond to this? I'm quite sure he abhors violence of any kind perpetrated by anyone.

I apologize for my "hate speech" as perceived by some but shouldn't we as Christians unite in our shunning of angry rhetoric here on the forum and everywhere else too?

We are our worst enemy - sad but true.

From what I've heard ... the hate speech started with the Democrats who on their web site had bull's eyes on Republican targets. Their language was that of a war and death.

This particular wacko has ties to the left but so far none of his beliefs have been connected with the Right or the tea party.

He had been refused by the Army and kicked out of college. His professor and classmates where afraid of him and honestly felt their life was endangered when he was present. His professor was afraid to turn his back to the chalk board. This was all expressed by him in an interview.

It's important for truth to be told. The left would have us to believe just the opposite.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

Maybe write your name in the sand for flase accusations and inuendo.

There was no "perceived" anything,You quite deliberately and publically blamed someone without one shred of evidence.

Just out of curodity where can I find your remarks concerning "hate sppech" after this comment

Mobster wisdom tells us never to bring a knife to a gun fight. But what does political wisdom say about bringing a gun to a knife “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”
