That way, since it's not really an issue concerning politics, you could discuss it here without it being tainted by those who have a slant toward (or against) the person originally named. At any rate, I don't think I'd do anything about the situation. Who cares? If I like my home the way it is, whose business is it if someone else doesn't--especially someone else whose opinion doesn't matter to me? Quote

Something is definitely wrong with me when public figures "dissing" my hometown, home state, favorite football team or whatever makes me so upset I have to post it on the internet. This is not a generic insult of NYC or the Bronx but a specific insult of my home. If he would have dissed the Bronx as a whole, I would've taken it in stride. And to specifically slander my neighborhood without ever even going there? You could replace Glenn Beck's name with anyone elses and I would still feel the same if that person published it in a national editorial column or mentioned it on a nationally syndicated radio/TV program. The guy is laughing his way all the way to the bank. He says what he says and does what he does because it drives up his ratings. The guy may be guilty of taking himself too serious sometimes and has aligned himself with the religious right in a way that is too uncomfortable for me but at the end of the day it is all about ratings. Yes I did since it was referring specifically to where I live, said on a national scale and by someone who has never even set foot here.
