bonnie Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 His testimony on how mormonism changed his life should be seen my all who are thinking about becoming a mormon. Wasn't he a drunk before? Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
Dr. Shane Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I would hope that we don't judge all Mormons on the basis of Glen Beck. That said, if one listens to Glen Beck when he talks about family issues, how to be a good husband, how to be a good father, how to not get caught up in materialism, etc... what he says is very consistent with the Adventist message. Glen Beck use to be all about knee-slapping humor. When he would start getting into politics he would back away and say that politics are better left to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. That all changed when his program was moved from Philadelphia to New York and he got on CNN. Those that disagree strongly with Glen Beck today, may well have enjoyed the knee-slapping humor of his Philadelphia days. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 I have an open mind. Just because I disagree with *some* of Beck's politics and his method of delivery, doesn't mean I throw the baby out with the bath water. Where Beck is very dangerous is in his alignment with the Religious Right. I am quite sure that Satan will use Beck (or someone like him) to usher in the National Sunday Law. As Adventists, we should be very hesitant to jump on such a band wagon. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Dr. Shane Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Well he still has some good knee-slappers and laughter is good for my soul so I will keep listening to him when I can. I know enough not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
