Wow, seems like you have all the answers too.

The Bible tells me that sin pays in suffering and death. Sin pays its wages in death. Selfishness and greed creates all sorts of problems in society. Mankind in general is polluting both land and sea. All these have consequences.

What I said is the only answer I have. It probably feels nice to be so sure why everyone else is suffering.

Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus

Did I say it feels nice? Did I gloat?

Excellent posts Sonny, and directly from the Bible. I do agree that most if not all our calamity's are because of how we've taken care of God's earth, that he has entrusted to us. From what I'm hearing you say than that basically there is no good answer as to why we have natural disasters in our world other than that we're doing this to ourselves. We are reaping what we've sown. It also seems from what I've read in the Bible that God has no problem with the first death, but is much more concerned with the second death. Since the first death is really a sleep, but the second is it.

The point was that you claim to know for sure. You seem to pin the natural disasters on those selfish people who suffer these. It's not gloating, but it it's sure hits close to it.

I can tell you with certainty that earthquakes are caused by tectonic shifts that at times result in release of energy. I can't say anything certain beyond that, but I'm guessing it has very little to do with people who these earthquakes end up killing.

Take a look at Romans 3:23. All men are falling short of God's love as seen in Christ Jesus. The issue is do we have Christ in our lives.

These folks wouldn't have died in a perfect world - one like God created before sin entered. Again, "the wages of sin is death".

amen, preach it.

Only a couple comments would have any meaning to someone going through Hell on Earth.

Okay: We live in a fallen world - no one is exempt. Why lie?
