hch Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 16. There are no events upon the earth recorded in the prophetic visions between the Lord's first and second advents [the end of the 69th week .... and the beginning of the 70th] Seems like I have heard that error or a form of it before: "There is no prophetic time after 1844" Same lie, just a slightly different version tailor made for the audience. There is a thread on this forum on that very topic. No need to rehash it here. The only difference is that the span of your ideology would stop prophetic time at the cross rather than 1844. hch Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 17. The great city part of MBG will be destroyed by satan's beast in the little horn and his 10 Middle Eastern confederated kings at the time of the end .... if the world is close to the coming 70th week, this "great city" [civilization] will be the USA From the lack of documentation attached to this point to nail down what you are getting at, this one will have to be revisited if you would be so kind to clarify what you are saying. Lysimachus Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I saw that they were correct in their reckoning of the prophetic periods; prophetic time closed in 1844, and Jesus entered the most holy place to cleanse the sanctuary at the ending of the days. This message announces the end of the prophetic periods. The disappointment of those who expected to see our Lord in 1844 was indeed bitter to those who had so ardently looked for His appearing. It was in the Lord's order that this disappointment should come. . . . {Mar 18.3} Originally Posted By: hch Revelation 11 cannot be future. it has to be recent past. Now if you were meaning to state that Revelation 11 has a dual fulfillment, then that is something I'm open to viewing, but your statement seems rather set that it is exclusively "recent past", and does not have any application to the French Revolution. The French Revolution example is TRUE as a partial fulfillment that foreshadows a more recent fulfillment that is the final fulfillment on the eve of Christ's Advent. The longest reckoning reaches to the autumn of 1844. {7BC 971.7} I'm just curious how you interpret these passages. I have heard that those who provide a future application of the time periods (future, meaning, anytime after 1844 that is), believe that the term "prophetic time" means only those time periods based on a day-year principle? In truth EGW only uses Propthet time to refer to Christ Advent not time prophecies intervening between 1844 and Christ's Advent. Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com

BobRyan Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Those are good references. apparently there are no prophetic timelines extending beyond 1844 where the time is revealed ub scripture. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin."
