doug yowell Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. Prior to homosexuality being taken off the list of mental illnesses, some psychiatrists treating homosexuals had noted that the homosexuals were extremely self-absorbed much like alcoholics. It is very possible that the pride, gluttony and neglect of the poor in Sodom was directly related to the rampant homosexuality there. Remember gay sex is only one symptom of the disorder. Interesting observation. Might well be true. Quote

Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted August 27, 2011 Administrators Posted August 27, 2011 Strange isn't it that all homosexuals were born as the result of heterosexual sex. How many gays and lesbians were raised by straight parents? Pretty much all of them. And of the gay or lesbian couples with children, how many of those children end up gay or lesbian? I would guess the exact same percentage as children raised by straight parents. Hmmm... What does all this mean? Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." Stan Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 I just want to make this clear. I am not gay nor ever had the desire. Those that are gay are welcomed here with open arms. Moderators John317 Posted August 27, 2011 Moderators Posted August 27, 2011 Studies and experiments tend to show that children can't be made to become gay. In several experiments in Israel, they did everything they could to bring up children to be gay. For instance, girls were given trucks to play with and boys were given dolls, etc., but doing those things didn't result in any more gays than are in the rest of society. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Yes, about as strange as a left-handed kid being born of two right-handed parents. There are some that want to believe that being gay is just an abnormality like being left-handed. Of course being left-handed is not an abnormality. God does not condemn left-handed people. If gays are born gay, it is a birth defect. There is substantial evidence that pre-natal conditions can cause homosexuality. There is also substantial evidence that alcoholism has a genetic component. God can save us from both conditions. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators John317 Posted August 28, 2011 Moderators Posted August 28, 2011 ... There is substantial evidence that pre-natal conditions can cause homosexuality. There is also substantial evidence that alcoholism has a genetic component. God can save us from both conditions. I agree with you. God is able to save us from both hereditary and cultivated characteristics. But this is not something that the Gay Lib/Civil Rights movements wants people to believe or hear. They want everyone to believe that no one can do anything about whether they are gay or not. These groups also want people to believe that the Bible is not true when it comes to homosexuality. Among them it is a popular idea that Jesus Christ Himself was gay and that He had secret gay relationships. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

ClubV12 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 "If "God" is so powerful that he can send a hurricane as the judgement for homosexuality, then why would he destroy the lives of so many of his faithfull straight people in the process?" God is no respector of persons, when a community, city, area's cup of iniquity crosses a certain line, His gaurdianship (protecting angels) are withdrawn. All within that zone will suffer as a result, unless God ordains specific shelter for specific groups or people. Without this protection being constantly employed planet earth would soon be over whelmed with "natural disasters". Indeed, the time is coming when that is going to happen on a scale we can hardly imagine. Warnings have been given, get out of the city lest ye be partakers of the plagues. When is it time for you, for others, for the group, to leave? The Holy Spirit will let us know. Meanwhile, for those that want, need, feel called to stay, without presumption, they will partake of the plagues, just like everyone else. IF they are there for reasons beyond their control, or are called to be there of God, THEN they can ask for and receive special protection. For EVERYONE else, God is no respector of persons, batten down the hatches, the storm is coming, no one is safe from the wrath of evil angels. The storm IS coming, relentless in it's fury. The natural disasters we see coming now are warnings, very light touches of what is in store. Take heed, the warnings... Quote

ClubV12 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Stan says, "Those that attack, belittle, bully, marginalize others, be they straight or gay are not welcomed." Recently there have been some very pointed comments concerning God, our Heavenly Father. If such comments were directed at a member on this forum, I think the attacks would be edited or deleted. I don't know where the balance is in allowing such personal attacks on our heavenly Father, but if someone came into MY house talking like that... In front of MY guests or family, I would show them the door in short order. It's one thing to not believe in God, to question His working, quite another to demean His character with slanderous terms. Moderators John317 Posted August 28, 2011 Moderators Posted August 28, 2011 im glad i missed MIZ rants against GODs character In all fairness to miz3, I'm sure that he believes that his posts are not against God. He would no doubt describe them as telling the truth about God. Of course that is very much open to question. BobRyan Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Strange isn't it that all homosexuals were born as the result of heterosexual sex.... Hmmm... What does all this mean? All people with sinful natures were born to parents who had sinful natures. Romans 3:9-12 describes the sinful nature pretty well. Your point above seems to assume that only gays have a sinful nature. How did you even come up with that? in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.

BobRyan Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 hmmm I guess that number had to be zero! And is the same as the number of homosexuals born as a result of homosexual practices.
