Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Who would you vote for? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Guest Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 The result of this poll is interesting, so far. You have to vote to see it though, and when you do it will change the outcome slightly. Have at it.. Quote
Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Well, as a moderate, I think Romney is the most moderate candidate right now. Bachmann has absolutely no executive experience and has never gotten anything passed in Congress so I think she is like taking a shot in the dark. We know Obama is a failure and a vote for him will be a vote for four more years of anxiety and high unemployment. Perry is a little more conservative than I am comfortable with but I would certainly vote for him before Obama if the election were today. Obama is not out of luck yet. If the economy turns around - meaning unemployment is well below 8%, I may vote for him. But if he continues the same radical policies that have kept the economy from recovering, I cannot justify rewarding failure. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... I couldn't get you to see it back when I was trying to talk some sense into you, and get you not to vote for him. But noooooooo...you just knew I was wrong. Oh well, at least you have seen the light, and are not going to vote for him a 2nd time. Better late than never I guess. Quote
Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Well, like I stated, if the economy improves, I may vote for Obama again. The only Republican candidate that I really feel uneasy with is Bachmann. If was her against Obama, I think I could end up voting for another four years of misery with Obama. That is hard to say. But if the economy improves, that could be a game changer. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Bachmann has at least lived in the real world. She has held a "real job" had to meet payroll and is far more honest than Obama could be on his best day. If Obama can buy more votes with his hand out of the money of other taxpayers he likely will be our president again Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 You took a bigger leap in voting for Obama. I took the *same* leap in voting for Obama. I am not sure I want to go there again. Do I have to remind anyone who Obama was running against? I know I don't want to go there. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 McCain is a compromiser. A moderate has a backbone. A moderate stands on firm ground. Just because a person is a moderate doesn't mean he or she stands on shifting sand. Jim Bohannon is a moderate. If McCain would have won, Reid and Pelosi would have been running the White House and the media would have been blaming everything that went wrong on McCain. No thanks. At least now we know who is to blame. Obama is making a laughing stock of himself as he tries to blame all his problems on Bush. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... olger Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Clinton Praises "Moderate" McCain March 27, 2008 7:30 PM ABC's Z. Byron Wolf Reports: At a stop in rural Pennsylvania, over winding roads and through rolling hills in small Lewistown, PA, where people lined the streets to watch his motorcade approach, former President Bill Clinton had high praise for the man who has clinched the nomination for the other party. Mr. Clinton said all three major candidates remaining in the race are talented and special people. He did not go into detail on Sen. Barack Obama, the Illinois Senator still locked in political combat with Sen. Clinton's wife for the Democratic nomination. Their next battle takes place next month in Pennsylvania. But McCain, who Mr. Clinton said is a "moderate", "has given about all you can give for this country without dyin' for it." Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Dr. Shane Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 Make up your mind man! This is what "moderates" do. Oh, my mind is made up, if the election were held today. However if circumstances change, I may change my mind. That is what reasonable people do. Economics is not like chemistry. There is no tried and true formula that gets the same results every time it is tried. We are dealing with human behavior and there are way too many variables. Obama is putting all his eggs into one basket and at this point it is a dismal failure. However if it kicks in and things start to change, I will have to take that into consideration. Moderators John317 Posted August 28, 2011 Moderators Posted August 28, 2011 Neither did I, but I would have been willing to vote for him if he had done a good job his first term. I truly was hoping he would make a great president. But unfortunately for America, I believe about 70 % of the country realize he hasn't been. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. bonnie Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 JOHN317 maybe scared was the word I should not have used... I just don't trust those 3 that I mentioned dgrimm60 The best recommendation for Bachmann is the hatred from the left.Pelosi made her a target in the last election spending millions to defeat her in MN. Michelle Bachmann very graciously said thank you to Nancy Pelosi for being instrumental in her win.Which just about made her head explode Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 I DON'T think BACHMANN OR ROMENY WILL get the nomination those 2 or losing steam dgrimm60 Bachmann could win Iowa. Romney could win New Hampshire. Perry could win South Carolina. I can't see Bachmann going much further than that. She simply hasn't accomplished anything and has no executive experience. The way it looks now, I think it will be a fight between Romney and Perry - unless someone else jumps in that changes the game. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 I just don't trust those 3 that I mentioned During a debate with McCain, Obama said he did not favor mandatory health insurance for adults. He said he only favored mandating it for children because children's health insurance was so cheap. Now look at what he did after being elected. Obamacare forces all Americans to purchase health insurance - exactly what he said he did not favor while debating McCain. Can we trust Obama? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 McCain is a moderate but better than what we have. Wrong. McCain is no moderate. He is a chameleon. If McCain had been elected we would have had a Pelosi-Reid-McCain Administration. I doubt we would have gotten any health-care reform but we certainly would have had all the same stimulus spending (maybe more) and all the same bail-outs (maybe more). McCain has never met a Democrat that he didn't want to compromise with. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
