Members phkrause Posted March 13, 2012 Author Members Posted March 13, 2012 You're right its the Moabites. In which book of the Bible is Jesus referred to as "The Lion that is from the Tribe of Judah?" Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Administrators Gail Posted March 13, 2012 Administrators Posted March 13, 2012 Hmmm... Using my reasoning abilities I'm going to add 2 plus 2 and see what I get. My guess is that this was first done with Isaac on his deathbed or by Moses. But if I remember correctly (and I don't always!) by the time the tribes were in the wilderness and they made their standards Judah was already known as a lion. Hmmm... Genesis? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted March 13, 2012 Administrators Posted March 13, 2012 And it (his blessing to Judah) included a prophecy about Jesus, too. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
