Noah's Ark

Mankind manages to survive even the terrible seven last plagues and live to witness His coming in the clouds. The "moment" where earth can no longer support life will never come simply because Jesus will come first.

People are totally missing the point of the OP here

"People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." (Job 37:21)

"I cannot know why suddenly the storm

should rage so fiercely round me in it's wrath

But this I know: God watches all my path

And I can trust"

I agree. Living in the time of the end, when knowledge is greatly increased, does not destroy the planet. God has said in his word over and over, that HE is the one who is going to destroy this planet....with fire.

So worship God, and not the planet.

I have to wonder why people use all these "likes" when asserting that God will destroy the earth. Why do people "LIKE" this so much?

Yeah, out with this old sinful world and sin, and in with the earth created new and perfect. I've seen enough of this old dark and dreary world. Ellen White didn't want to come back here after being shown heaven in vision.

Because then we will get to go Home and be with God. I want God to destroy the sin that permeates every vestige of this planet. I also want God to remove and destroy every vestige of sin that has held me in bondage and makes my life hateful.

I thank God that God has already done so much of that work in me and because He has I am a so much happier and contented person.

Why would we want to stay here when we can go to Heaven?

We have to be careful that we don't use the second coming to have contempt for the world. Unfortunetely too many Christians do. Jesus has become our necular force for destruction. This is why Jesus is waiting. We are like the Jews who wanted to use the messaiah against the Romans and the rest of the heathen world, and we wi8ll end up rejecting him when he comes.

"When we love the world as he [Jesus] has loved it, then for us his mission is accomplished; we are fitted for heaven for we have heaven in our hearts." Desire of Ages page 461.

Too many of us follow the text "Love not the world" and we as Seventh-day Adventists do a wonderful job at not loving the world. And using Jesus' second coming as an exucse to not love the world.

However the next verse tells us what it is not to love about the world, and it is NOT the world out there, but an attitude in us to make less of the outside world: The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the boastful pride of life. Way too many of us are using Jesus for our lust to look down on the outside world. The good news that the church and others are going to hell in a hand basket. Using Jesus for the boastful pride of life. Jesus will not come unless we either change our attitude, or else become so hardened in this attitude that there is nothing more he cand do with us.

I like what Kevin has said....

What bothers me is that I really like what I see in this world...I know the next one is to be better, but even though there is much heart ache, and unfairness, and stupidity that affects so many others, there is much here that I can take refuge in...

There are water falls that are so much eye candy, there are children who give hugs to old people...there are friends here that express joy and wonderment and awe....

If and when I go to heaven, if Jesus will have me, I expect to see much more and experience even more love there than I do here....and I am experiencing much here....

Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve.

Yes, even though badly damaged, it is still beautiful and God's creation and is to be respected as such. I think the Bible is clear on that.

I find it interesting you are asserting that we "obey" Ellen White and "disobey" the Bible.

Maybe I'm just jaded?

For many years my work took me all over the world. To the finest resorts and to the most remote locations (4 wheel drive and GPS required). To the best and the worst the world had to offer. Nature is powerfully beautiful in SO many different places, I found that interesting. When people talk about how beautiful this or that place is, I think of many different places that rival it in beauty.

A short while back I started on a cross country car trip, free as a bird, go where ever I like, see and do what ever I like, for how ever long. I came home in about a week. The "world" just doesn't have anything to offer anymore. I stopped by Reno for "Hot August Nights", a MASSIVE car show and I used to be seriously interested in custom cars. It was all vanity, the joy was gone, I really didn't care about the details of that "cool car" anymore or how fast it was. I missed my new friends in the church, I missed the home cooked meals we share at the common meal after church, or at somebodys house. I missed the simple things I've grown fond of around "home".

Not to be a downer on anyone who would to travel and get out and about, maybe I'm just jaded? Jaded enough to really look forward to the renewal of this planet and some serious travel, across the Universe!

This world is not our home, CV. I appreciate the fact that you can look beyond this planet in rebellion! Better days ahead.

Born Twice

And NO Jesus die twice and then KNOW jesus and die once.

That old ark brought about the death of but a few of the antediluvians world which was the saving of the righteous that time and the catching up of the saints living and dead before the world is destroyed by fire this coming soon time.

2Pe 3:10,12.

That is a sore indication that it will be the very few. The percentage this time may be greater on account of the dead in Christ, but who knows of that number but Him. That day will be one we are told not to desire.

Am 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Same again as the waters began to cover the earth in that end day of that world.

You know they were given 120 years to see and wake up and we been given since 1844 as this began the time of the end for us. That has been 167 years to date, take note,-

Da 8:17 Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.last part of verse.

And I'll just stop with that first one you posted "Don't miss the Boat" folks. Bro. Gibs.

Praise the Lord! I can agree with that for sure. It is sad that many will miss the boat because they will be waiting for the train.
