Moderators LynnDel Posted December 1, 2011 Moderators Posted December 1, 2011 I'm not in wine country, unless you count the wine in the aisle I avoid (last time I wandered down that way, I knocked down a display of $14 bottles, and Raley's smelled like crush time). LD Quote LD

LifeHiscost Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I always find it interesting how people came up with their online handles. So whats the story behind yours? LifeHiscost, the only way home and where I want to be and with Whom I want to share time. And He paid the cost, which is good because most of my life I've been broke and He's the only One I've ever met Who has never set a price on His friendship. " “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price."Isaiah 55:2 NKJV God blesses! M. T. Cross Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 No I watched my boss do some of the most stupid stuff I have ever seen with a bobcat. I wondered what you would have said had you seen it being as you seem pretty fond of your machine. We had an old shed that had been there for 20+ years. It was an old wood one and it was rotting. So we were tearing it down. He decided it was not going fast enough so he came out of the office, jumped in the bobcat and went at it in a way that it could have collapsed on him. It worked but as he swung around with one of the walls (about 15 by 12 feet of lumber) on the forks, he did not bother to see if there was anyone close by and nearly took out 3 of the guys working on it. Dottie Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I've heard that more work can get done if the boss stays behind the desk! Quote

Overaged Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Hoe arms work good, if you have one available. The last building like this I had to demolish was simple. I just got a chainsaw, cut a few key supports out, hooked a big long bunk chain to my 82 GMC 1/2 ton and gave it a running tug at 30 mph. It worked beautiful and did not endanger anyone! My boss on that job was proud of me. Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." GreatLakesGramma Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I am very proud of my "Grandma" status, and "Great Lakes" is the closest I'm willing to come to publishing where I live, to be read by any and every stranger who happens upon this forum, however friendly or hostile they may be toward Christians. I used to be moderator for the AOL Longevity forum when it was dial up and the name I wanted was a reserved word and the closest I could get was cardw. It also seems to be more immune to spam than my other names, so it has stayed with me for almost 20 years now. Quote Rich http://tiny.cc/CM2j8
