I don't believe that. I believe that most black people vote for Democrats because most black people are poor and believe that Democrats are more likely to increase welfare benefits. The more money a black person makes, the less likely he or she is to vote for a Democrat. However it is a false belief. One of the first things George W. Bush did when he became President was increase the food stamp program. Republicans are not going to get rid of these welfare programs because the welfare programs are an economic stimulus which the entire economy has become dependent on. The claim was made that someone knew of no such instances. Lazarus has provided many instances. This was in response to a particular claim. The claim was *not* made that no Democrats have been racist. If the person who made the claim about Republicans was willing to accept that their claim was mistaken, or at least misleading (to the extent to which their not having heard of something implied that that thing did not exist), that would wrap up that strand. As to the further progress of the thread, 'an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind'. More and more examples of racism are going to shed more heat than light. That's just one reason why I think the honesty issue is a much more productive avenue to follow up. Quote Truth is important
